I like this Post Office, as it really does have a friendly atmosphere. Some might complain about wait times but I don't find the wait to be bad at all, given the volume of people that the employees here service.
Complaint about St John Post Office employee “Debbie”
On 1/27/22 at about 12:47 PM I entered the PO to collect a small package (Zappos shoe box). Debbie, the only one working at that time, was engaged in a long inane personal conversation with a customer. I was the only other customer waiting at the time. Finally, after waiting forever, I muttered unbelievable and turned to walk out when the customer said “you better wait on her”. Instead of “waiting on her” they continued their personal conversation until several other customers came in with slips for boxes. “Debbie” then collects all the slips, is gone forever then comes back with a cart overflowing with boxes. “Debbie” then spitefully gives everyone else their box before giving me mine from the bottom of the bin. As a customer of the St John PO for over 31 years I can’t imagine what I have ever done to “Debbie” or anyone in that Post Office to deserve “Debbie’s' ' rude, extremely unprofessional and childlessly spiteful treatment.
The lines were ridiculously long and only one employee at the front. I range the door Bell for the manager who was sitting at her desk charting with another employee. I informed her of the situation and that not just me only being frustrated with the long wait and she told me "the post office is opened till 4 and I that if I don't want to wait I can come back and that they are also opened on Saturday"..and to top it off both she and the employee was laugh like it was funny...it's not funny...as a manager you would be a team player but it was not the case on Tuesday.
