I am trying to trace a letter mailed on 03/28/2022 by International Priority Mail to a government Pensions Office in Sligo, Ireland. Tracking # EH102 6554 713US. Mailed at Los Gatos post office; cost $67.95; 2-3 days delivery.
After 4 days I tried to track it: "In transit" was all I could find. After a week it was still in transit. I went into the Los Gatos post office to find out where the letter was. The young man who came to the service window said, "If it is in transit it is nothing to do with us, it's a transport problem." He turned to leave, I asked to speak to someone who could explain what was going on. This gentleman said that the letter could only be tracked to 15 countries once it left the US. I was not told this when I mailed it. So far all I have been able to ascertain is that it took 10 days to reach Carson CA, 10 DAYS.
Since Los Gatos post office would not, or could not, help on, 04/13/2022 I went to Dell Ave, Campbell. I explained the situation to a very helpful lady. She said she would have to get the Supervisor. When she came back she took my name and phone number and said he had just gone out, but would call "when he returned". He did not call that day, nor the next, nor the next. It is now the 18th; I have not had any call, and there is still no sign of the letter.
I want my money back.
