I have two express delivery on December 8th and 10th respectively, but I searched all around my house, but I did not receive them. I also went to the post office at 90066 and the staff said they couldn't solve the problem. However, I used the USPS APP to find that it had arrived at my residence, but I really did not receive it. Have had MarVista Post office mail delivery at same home for 50 plus years and never remember not getting
mail delivery until recently .
I called post office directly and was told half the staff is in quarantine! Sounds like a Covid hot spot . Read also their Union arranged an agreement they can stay stay out for an extended period without consequence and so new employees can’t be hired. I read concerns from all over the area of them not getting the mail out. I can see why. Why is this post office being so effected with Covid? Also people going to pick up
their mail and it can’t be located.
Max quarantine is 14 days so 2 weeks of being out shouldn’t impact services all over the area for months, although it is worse now. I was told this post office the Post Master is aware of
The situation- is he doing anything to help them? The postal workers must be very stressed
We are not receiving mail every day on 3400 block of Stoner Avenue! Our mail is being scanned and emailed to us, but we NEVER get that scanned mail on the day that no deliveries are made! Where is our scanned mail?????
The group that works in the office Are fabulous they always trying be very helpful and nice, but the fact my packages are lost daily and getting no reimbursement is just far too expensive for me...
So frustrated. Package noted as delivered. I checked 15mins later and n package. I understand sometimes scanners are off or delivered to wrong address---that wasn't my frustration: I call the PO-MarVista--eventually got thru. Very pleasant ady answered--She asked if Iwoud go on hold for a moment.. "of course"-14 minutes later.......nothing....still holding.
Of course line busy from then on. Dont know if the issue is the Staff or just Staffing...But totally unable to conduct business.

We took time off work today to take our son to renew his passport- Guess what? The Mar Vista branch no longer has passport services! Not only that, all the other local post office branches require reservations to apply for a passport! You can't get through on the phone to make a reservation... Please, UPDATE your websites! Make it easier for us to make a reservation! It shouldn't be this hard.
7/3/14 - I had the same issue. Westchester/LAX are the only local post offices in the area with passport functions.

hey how about putting some ball point pens PERMANENTLY at the long waiting table so that your CUSTOMERS can begin filling out the details on their packages while waiting for the next teller???guess what... this will SAVE TIME and shorten the long lines.because customers don't have to fill out the forms at the counter in front of you!to the manager of this location: if you're worried about the pens being misplaced or taken..... you can buy permanently fixed pens that attach to the table via chains. in other words they are stationary. this is a novel solution that was developed 50 years ago but none of your genius employees seem to be able to put 2 and 2 together.
