Today is day three of yet another period of NO MAIL and definitely NO pick up on our street (Everett Avenue). This is just ridiculous! I've tried to be patient because a new person has replaced INVALUABLE Jay, our long-time mail person. I can only give poor reviews to what we have now! We receive mail very late, too early - or not at all! We're never sure when to put mail out! How can this be OK? Does USPS even care?! :-(
Every month my social security check is never delivered on time. I get charged late fees playing bills late been several times to discuss this manager not in I leave message ask for call back this never happens. Forget about calling I have spent a full day calling they never answer phone. This is the worst postal service I have ever had. Then by time mail comes its 730 at night. When I moved to my place mail was here by 3-3:30 now it has come as late as 9:00 p.m. Horrible service!!
The service is terrible. For the third time this past year a letter was sent certified mail return receipt requested at the rate of over $7.00 and the receipt was not fillled out. The first two times the receipt was delivered to the mail box with the receipt still attached to the letter. This last time just a couple of days ago the letter was left in the box with the receipt missing from the envelope. The door bell was not rung or any attempt to get a signature was made. I know because I'm am home bound at the moment and have been home all day on the days of delivery. I have registered a complaint each time and there has been no improvement in the service. Frankly This is not okay it is a total rip off. I worked for the post office for 10 years and this would not have been acceptable service from the letter carrier. The registered and certified mail were signed for by the carrier in the morning and were tracked as delivered or returned for pick up by the addressee in the afternoon.
They don't answer their phone which is of no use to me when I have a question. It makes it necessary for me to make the trip over there simply to ask a simple question. It' rude; if you list your number, answer the phone!
