Hello, I’m a business owner and was refused to drop off my packages at the San Juan Bautista California post office. Today’s date is December 11, 2024, and the gentleman at the counter flat out refused to take my package with postage already on the box. Stated he was too busy and not willing to check my package in. This is not the first time that this has happened at this particular location.
I went to pick up a package and was treated poorly. The representative grabbed the paper slip aggressively off my hands. I’m hoping I don’t have to go back soon or ever!

I don’t understand why this post office is not held up to some responsibility to its customers. We all pay our taxes and yet somehow residents of San Juan Bautista have to pay extra to access their mail while our counterparts in say, Hollister, get their mail delivered to their home.Then, if thats not bad enough, the lobby hours are ridiculously inconvenient, for those that work, as well as everyone else who has a life.
Does the post office not have a responsibility to meet promises made by amazon, or other vendors, to process mail in a timely manner? A package is mailed and arrives to the sjb post office but they now take another whole day to process everything that comes in. On top of that, they threaten to return your packages that you haven’t been able to pick up because you can’t meet their ridiculous hours. The situation keeps getting worse rather than better.
Ridiculous.. never scan packages and as a business owner this is an absolute joke! The manager there is a complete jerk and claims it isn’t their problem how long it takes to scan items. Takes days sometimes even upwards of weeks to scan my packages to be shipped out.
There never open for people to get there mail if you work forget it ...there excuse oh covid we changed hours well what's up there too lazy to open lobby a few hours Sunday they suck
when you lock the lobby on Sunday people who work weekdays and sat can't get their mail I ,ve watched 30 people in 30 minutes trying to get mail and cant
