I paid $35 on July 5th to pay for my box key. I was told to wait 3-5 days. I went in on July 11th, 12th, and 13th to ask for said key. On the 13th I was getting very disgruntled to say the least. I was told I would be hand delivered my key on Monday. I spoke to Martin directly and told him my home's number multiple times. It is now, 1 hour before closing on Monday the 15th. I do not have said key, mail or any information. No one is answering the phone! Needless to say, my trust in this post office is nil, nadda, hopeless.
The clerks and staff at this establishment come across as illiterate and stuck-up snobs. **It is clear that at least one clerk lacks basic reading comprehension skills, likely missing that class in elementary school.** Providing customers with a phone number is pointless as they never answer and it just leads to a busy signal after being redirected to an operator. To make matters worse, the USPS emails provided for contact don't even deliver through Gmail. It's a complete joke.
It's frustrating to see that despite receiving 120 BILLION dollars from Congress in the last 4 years, on top of the 50 BILLION they handed them 10 years ago because they simply asked for it. (Note the USPS has stakeholders that fund them) the USPS is still failing to provide adequate mail service, customer satisfaction, and financial accountability. Congress needs to hold them accountable and address the issues at this facility before it slips through the cracks even further.
I continue to receive a neighbors mail daily. Complaints get nothing done. The daily incorrect delivery to my address continues. Trying to get someone, anyone, to respond to this, talk to the delivery person about the mistake or make any needed corrections, is a lost cause.
i didn't used to think that folding the US postal service was a bad idea. I don't see how a private firm could do any worse.

I’ve been calling for the past 48 hours to talk to a live person regarding a package that needs to be rerouted. After a gazzellion calls… nobody picked up! I tried to fax them a letter to get their attention… that too is not working!!’ So frustrating!
I moved to Seattle 15 months ago. I ordered an item from Best Buy and thought I had indicated it to be delivered in Seattle, but alas it was sent to our old Tehachapi address instead as it was a "default" address still listed in our Best Buy account. I discovered this yesterday as the item hadn't arrived. Much to my pleasure, the post office hadn't delivered it to our old address in Tehachapi, but had forwarded it to our new address. We should be receiving it today. I love that this happened. Also recently we received a refund check from a health care provided. We don't fall under the time frame of receiving forwarded mail, but I am so thankful to the Tehachapi post office for doing so. They are AAA+ in my book.
Our mail carrier has been consistently putting our packages at the end of our driveway instead of leaving a pink slip to pick up or to drop off at our door like she used to. Just this past Saturday, food was left and it rained on the package. We have food delivered on a regular basis and leaving it in the weather without being notified is unacceptable, ruined and expensive to replace.
I have had my email late for a month… last month my payment checks were 15 days late and until now they have not arrived and I called them and they do not solve anything for me I had to report it to my work and they have canceled my payments and they resend me the checks and not even the new checks have arrived.
We are very happy with our postal carrier, courteous and efficient. However the maintinance of our mailboxes have been lacking. I realize that our personal boxes are our responsibility, but the maintinance of the bulk items and mail return maintinance is non existing. Our mail return box was broke weeks ago around the whole neighborhood at several boxes and have remained broken.
I dont get much mail because i do the email thing for all my bills. But the ones i cant do thru email i dont get the letter ones delivered now in over 7 months. I get junk mail and few regular ones. Received only ONE letter from DMV on registration for my car, i have a total of 7 vehicles. The other six i had to pay late fees on 2 caught the others after i walked behind them and realized they were do soon. Then i had to go to AAA to get the stickers because those didnt show up either. I been at my address for 18+ years not like i just moved here. My wife went to the PO but nothing was done, she gets her mail just fine. What do i do?.

.when he does deliver he is too lazy to even walk up to the door . He throws it by the garage . If I donor notice the packages can stay outside for days . If he’s too lazy to work, give the job to someone who does . I could do a better job . I’m 70
And I have more passion to do a job right then this lazy carrier .
The opening on the post man side of the box is bigger. Just because it will fit from that side doesn’t mean I can pull it out of the mailbox. This is so frustrating!!
Our contract carrier just doesn't care it seems.. another! package lost, put in the wrong box, puts almost every package in the mail 'box' and I have to figure out how to get it out, because he is to lazy and doesn't care... it's frustrating for sure....
Our carrier is incompetent…..today was the 4th time I have received delivery confirmation from a vendor that my package was delivered and there was NO NOTICE in my box, so I had to travel 4 miles to my mailbox to find the package…….WHY
Thank you for your helpfulness and service to all that come into the Tehachapi post office. I have always had courteous service there, and if a problem arises with mail the PO employees try hard to help fix the problem. I appreciate you all!

I have never really had missing mail. I have been let down as far as timely mail but I can deal with that.... And just within the last two months I have had two very important pieces of regular enveloped mail, go missing... VERY IMPORTANT.. and it's so disheartening... so discouraging. .. and so much of a letdown .... I'll never see it ...

I came into the Tehachapi Post Office on 11/27 at 4:50 to mail a package. I was surprised and very disappointed to see three people without masks in this federal business. How are we going to stop the pandemic if we don’t enforce the rules. I do not think I should have to endanger my health to mail a package. One person was mailing several packages and obvious knew the TWO employees helping her....the entire time no mask. As Americans we have to do better than this.
There are people I see every time I go out not wearing a mask and having absolutely no respect for others health. This was really effecting everyone in line and myself as this woman isn't wearing a mask along with teaching a little boy that's with her that its OK to not care for wearing masks or the spread of Covid19. I took pictures today around 2pm at the Tehachapi Post Office in Tehachapi, CA. It's horrible this Government places still serves people who don't comply with safety precautions. I wanted to walk out but I l needed to send important Government paperwork for an overnight delivery. It scares me for my family and good people living here that I know who are trying so hard to keep everything as safe as possible. I've come from LA because the Covid19 is so heavy there and it seems as if people here care less & it's all over again with people not caring here. Its very scary. I have a PO BOX & limited function. Several times I’ve stopped to pick up my mail between 6a-8:30 only to struggle to get to the door & find the lobby floor is being mopped! Wasted trip!!!!!
Maybe that can be done on a regular schedule so I’ll know when NOT to go!
I submitted a Postal Hold on my mail at the post office to begin on Monday, April 15 and it seems the Hold started early on Friday, April 12 since I didn't receive any mail in my mail box in Bear Valley Springs the last two days. I called today(Saturday) because I am waiting for a prescription delivery from Kaiser and now the post office will not answer the phone and it's too late to drive there to inquire as to whether or not it has arrived. I'm leaving on Monday, 4/15, and will not be able to pick it up if it is there. Disappointed especially since the clerk who took my Mail Hold application said it wasn't too early to submit it, but obviously it was!!

The Postal service keeps delivering my packages to the wrong people and then you cannot get a hold of them at all. The phone number for the postal office never works, it is always on a busy signal. Then when you go in they tell you, "Well, we show the package was delivered." It was delivered to the wrong person or I wouldn't be here waiting in line on my lunch break to find out why my packages are going to someone else. This keeps happening and it is really disappointing. They do not offer to do anything about it or make anything better. It should not be this way. The postal service should be aware of where they are delivering people's packages. They have already wrongly delivered four of my packages in one week. The problem is I can't just not use USPS. I don't have a choice. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this. So far I am getting nowhere and no one is helping.

New postal carrier does not put items in our lock box even if they fit...we have to complete the form or pick up at post office. Ridiculous! Our old carrier would deliver the package to the door if it didn't fit or place in lock box.
I am appalled by the service that the people of this community have received from their local post master. She has abused and bullied her own employees, senior citizens, family members of the military, as well as other upstanding members of the community. I would like to know why the Post Office continues to keep such a dysfunctional person in their employ when there have been so many complaints filed against her. A few years ago I was going to my mail box to get my mail. It was snowing and I slipped on the driveway and fell backwards knocking myself out. I woke up later covered in snow and my dog washing my face. When I went to my doctor she said I was having balance problems and wrote a letter asking to have my mailbox moved closer to my front door. The Post Master said "no" . I had to explain that I had a condition that would not get well and go away, at my age 76, it was a permanent condition. She would not budge. I had to call the 800 number in the phone book. They were kind and understanding and listened to my problem. The number is (800)275-8777. They gave me a case number. The next day I received a call from our local Post Office saying that my mailbox had been approved as long as I payed for it myself. Which I did.
Whomever the woman in charge of this place is, needs to take a step back and stop telling military spouses they are the ones that screwed up. You SUCK at apologizing. It is one thing to not be able to refund money, but to sit there and show zero compassion to a woman who's husband is deployed in harms way in the middle east and tell her, "well it's your own faulty for not using express mail, you are out of luck," that is just completely unacceptable. Show a little bit of understanding to the next military spouse who has questions. It was NOT this spouses fault the package was returned to her house rather than being sent to the APO address. The POST OFFICE accepted the package and said it was good to go. Now a few weeks later returns it and says it's too big. This is the POST OFFICE's fault for not catching that not this poor woman's fault. AND FYI, learn your freaking job. Express ail isn't even a real option for overseas military addresses. A person can certainly be charged for express mail and pay for it, but all it does is express mail the package from the front desk to the back mail room. APO/FPO/DPO addresses CANNOT use express mail. One might think the Post Master of this post office would know that.All I can say is DO NOT use this location for overseas military addresses. It may not make it there and you won't know why until it shows up on your front door step and learn you are out $100 or more.
I have made two attempts to mail my cousin a Birthday card to this post office in Tehachapi, CA !!! my cousin did not receive the first card that I sent to her so I mailed her another one certified ! She did not get this one either !!! so I called the post office here in Tehachapi and the post master and the only one that works there her name is Ericia well the name she gave me anyway well she hung up on me when I ask her about my certified mail and why they do not have any tracking on this mail and why they can not find it !!! I called her back and told her that she needs to do her job and find that mail !! I will be following up on this everyday until i get an answer !! someone that works at this post office is stealing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the mail !!!!!!!!!! wow really ? my cousin told me that she has problems getting her mail all the time ! now I know for a fact that this is really going on !!!!!! There is never enough employees working at busy times. Their delivery service right now is not good. They said they attempted to delivery and left a notice, at the time they said they delivered I was at home. There is no notice. Hope I can pick up my package without it.
