Oct. 5, 2020.I arrived early about 9:15am at the Post Office, there were 6 people in line ahead of me. I was very surprised that the line moved quite quickly. I do want to give some credit to a woman that had several packages in front me, that she was very organized and ready with getting her packages mailed. The front line customer, postal staff worked steady and efficient to get us all through quickly. I had one envelope and needed to buy stamps. He took his time, I never felt rush. I've been behind the scenes of the Postal Service before, its busy and there is always mail incoming and outgoing at all times.
I wanted to post a Thank you for all you do, for the people of our Ventura community.
Patty
This post office has few associates that do not know what they do and do not provide you with a cost-effective alternative to send your letters or packages and also they can mislead you by giving you different information that may ended up costing you more. A guy with a pony tail and glasses is not helpful and instead is irritable when you ask him questions showing a low customer service skills.
Unfortunately, USPS does not work uniformly, sometimes some associates accept your letters with stamps and sometimes they do not want to accept it and ask you to place more stamps even thought the thickness of the letter was conformed with the standard thickness requirements. It is amazing that the supervisor can say it is okay to send it and then you get a reject letter by mail. Later on, another USPS office ended up accepting it without any extra stamp. Definitely, this Wake Fores USPS office located in Ventura, CA needs to improve their business practices by training employees about stamps, sizes and sickness of letters or packages.
