The people who work at this post office are astonishingly and consistently rude. It's been that way for at least a decade. No one cares, including their supervisors. I once witnessed them move a grown man to tears who was dressed to the nines on a Saturday morning trying to retrieve a package containing a family christening gown for his baby's baptism on the way to the service. They were refusing to release it because his I.D. didn't match the package address. Well the whole reason the package was at the post office and not delivered to his house was because the package had the wrong address on it! It was infuriating and heartbreaking. They are the worst!

I mailed and paid $97.60 for an overnight delivery and it has not been delivered as of today Jan. 21, 2019. The package (containing food) was mailed 1/18/19 to be delivered 1/19/19 by 12Noon to my daughter's residence in NW. No human being answers my calls to phone numbers on the receipts or Georgetown, 1215 31st St NW post office. I am very angry! The food will have to be trashed by now. How do I get my money back?

The worst post office in the city; which is hard to say. As one can see from the myriad of other reviews, there is hardly a good one in the bunch. I have lived in this postal area for 40-years and it just get more miserable by the day. Now, they don't even answer the telephone and I'm handicapped and it is very hard to go there. And, when I do manage to go there to pick up a package from a redelivery note, they never can find it and don't give a damn. However, in the long run, no one does any thing about this incredible bad service and associated bad attitude.

I couldn't agree more. I brought my income tax return in to the counter and asked the woman behind the counter to date stamp the envelope. She never looked at me, tossed the envelope into a mail bin and said "That's not my job. Someone else gets paid to do that." Then, while I was standing in front of her said "Next". Rude and no social skills. They should not be working in "serving the public" positions.

This is one of the worst run Post Offices in the whole city. I work for a law firm nearby and very time we bring in Certified mailings the lazy staff makes us bring in a copy of the page we are having stamped. I need to speak to whoever is in charge and have this situation rectified.
