This is a new post office to me, just moved to Bettendorf. On the several occasions I have visited this facility every single person has been helpful, polite and professional!
I dropped a birthday card containing money in the Bettendorf's post office drop box with an East Moline, IL delivery address. When it got delivered to the residence in East Moline, IL, the money was missing from the card!!! We can NEVER rely on the post office anymore. A bunch of thieves and liars!
I was at the Bettendorf post office shortly after opening this morning, 1/ 25/ 2021. There was one window open and probably 15 customers waiting patiently in line. But, that is not my concern for this review. This is: While we customers waited, we were subjected to a very loud verbal abuse session perpetrated by a male supervisor toward employees in the back area of the post office. I am not exaggerating to say it was appalling and completely unprofessional. All customers waiting in line began talking about it in a shocked and disheartened manner. No employee should ever be subjected to such verbal abuse. I hope these employees report this outrageous behavior to someone higher up the chain. It was so bad, the lady ahead of me mentioned it to the counter employee who acknowledged the outburst and was obviously embarrassed that this occurred in her work environment. Shame on whomever this supervisor was. You left a very bad impression on many Bettendorf postal customers this morning .
I had ordered a package from Amazon that apparently was too big for the standard mail truck. A slip was left on my front door that I had to pick it up, this was on a Saturday. The next day, Sunday a postal service van was in my neighborhood delivering and she told us there are pick up trucks that could've delivered the package. I called and spoke with Matthew a supervisor and he said he didn't have any bigger vehicles available and would "ponder" the situation and call me back, then hung up without saying goodbye. Very disappointing!
I recently had an issue (not the USPS fault) in which a package was sent to a UPS store vice my home, and Missy was wonderful in helping me get my package on the same day!
She was helpful, organized, and professional, and represents the type of customer service that companies live by.
