I can’t reach anyone by phone to suggest they empty their receptacle in the alley of the Coeur d’Alene post office off 7th Street. You would think they would keep an eye on it on a busy Monday before Christmas. It is overflowing and someone could reach in and pull the mail out With ease. It’s 130 and they aren’t going to check the mail until 545 according to the sign on their box. Ridiculous.

is there any way at all of contacting the mail service in Coeur d' alene, id? please don't give me their phone number, they absolutely refuse to answer the phone---ever!!! the problem is a simple one. While we do get mail delivery daily, it is never before 7:30 PM---every day!! Now, one of three things is true. Either 'he' starts too late, or he is slower than the 7-year-itch or his area is way too big. I'm old, but 7:30 PM? Geez. 'something ain't kosher'!!!

My mailbox was broken . Not once but twice by the mail carrier. They shoved a bigger package in my mailbox first time.. My son fixed it. Then yesterday they shoved another package in it and broke it again now it won't even stand up. It's been torn out of the ground. I want to talk to somebody about this I keep trying to call, but it keeps sending me to different sites.

I have lived at 2430 Whistler LP apt 201 since Dec 2022. I continue to get mail from the previous residence. I have gotten meds, bank and other financial documents, as well as mail from a legal office. I understand (or current resident) mail must be delivered, I am fine with that. There is no reason for the mail carrier to treat me with contempt, and lie to me about mail he has delivered and continues to deliver because he is too lazy to separate out personal mail for the previous resident...

We are on a private road and have a divided mailbox at the beginning of our road. The carrier constantly crams boxes and bags into the mailbox that are too big. They sometimes mangle a delivery just to get it into the box. When the delivery is really big, they will bring it down the road and always deliver it to our first neighbor instead of coming further down the road to our place which has our house number on the porch post. Please give the carriers a remedial lesson in reading house numbers.

I sent a Christmas card to my sister in CDA from South Carolina, I receive it Back in my mail box 5 days later reflecting a "Return to Sender" label and inked letters; NSN? I am guessing the postal carrier is telling me there is no such house number and the house she has been living in for 40+ years doesn't exist. Now I know why email has replaced letters at the USPS. On another matter, my mail carrier loves to deliver my neighbors mail to my box, so I am wondering who is getting my mail?

I constantly get other people's mail. My address is 3940 N. Jonquil Ct. I get mail for 3940 Nicklaus Dr. at least once per week. I put the mail along with a letter to my credit union in my box at the first of this week and after 3 days it still wasn't collected by my carrier. As a result my payment was late. To frost the cake the carrier left another letter in my box, without taking my mail or the wrong mail I received, and it was for 3940 Travino Dr. What the heck is going on at our post office?

I either don’t receive the mail listed in my informed delivery or the mail carrier puts it in the wrong mail box. Luckily my neighbor was nice enough to bring my mothers medicine to my door. Thank god for decent neighbors. This is the fourth time I haven’t received an important check.

Ordered a birthday present for my little sister which was suppose to get here two days before her bday still hasn’t arrived. So I called them five times to see if I could go down there to get it. They don’t pick up so I have to drive down there and they can’t help me because they changed carriers on the delivery twice. They said sorry we can’t pick up the phone we are so short staffed they have been saying that for the last 5 years I’ve lived here, Get more employees and deliver mail not that hard

The USPS in CDA is horrible with delivery times. I’ve had numerous packages shipped priority or next day and they always arrive 2-3 days after the guaranteed delivery date. They just sit in their warehouse. No one there gives a crap about anyone else. They are lazy AF

Sent a certified 2nd day letter to DMV on March 30th. It was supposed to be delivered on Friday April 1st to the DMV. Your postal service worker tried to deliver it before the opening of the business. When I track it it says that they would deliver the next day. This is the message on the tracking: "April 2, 2022, 8:44 am Redelivery Scheduled for Next Business Day 83815 We were unable to deliver your package at 8:44 am on April 2, 2022 in ZIP Code 83815 because the business was closed. We will redeliver on the next business day. No action needed. April 2, 2022, 6:10 am Out for Delivery COEUR D ALENE, ID 83815" There is no activity after that. The letter is sitting in your facility somewhere. It is a pink slip for a vehicle and is important. I have sent it certified. I have been trying to call the office to no avail, for over two weeks, Please advise.

They NEVER answer the phone. They NEVER deliver packages without a signature and there is no way to schedule a redelivery. Such bad service. I've called my company that uses them and said I would not order anything again unless they change carriers.

I was very pleased with the service I received when calling the CDA Post Office today. The gentleman I spoke with was courteous and answered my question quickly. Thank you for all you do!

After years of service with no issues, suddenly our local carriers will no longer bring packages to our house. They stated our driveway was too difficult to turn around in so now I get false messages stating that "delivery was attempted but box was full." Suffice it to say I'm less than pleased. I'm a 100% disabled vet and my wife is a double amputee. Driving to the post office to get our mail puts a horrible strain on us. So I will show them what a 25 year veteran of Special Forces can do with a pen, phone and computer. If anyone is interested in getting a postal service job, I can guarantee there will be at least one opening at the CDA post office by the time I'm done... I wonder how good the post master is at addressing the media and answering Congressional inquiries???

Why does this company steal mail, is it because they're connected to the government

My son went in the post office that I use to pick up my held mail. They said they did not have it. The USPS phone number needs to actually work. Who is going to wait over 1 hour to finally get a hold of someone to find their mail!?

I submitted a yellow hold mail form, but you delivered the mail anyway. Please hold my mail. You say you provide a vacation hold mail service. So do it. Don't deliver my mail until the date on the form. Please, please, please. This has happened before. Do what you said you would.

So, I'm extremely disappointed. I had a package delivered today and instead of putting it by my front door as usual, the mail lady and/or man shoved it in my mailbox even though it clearly didn't fit and completely bent the portfolio I bought. Please be more careful and considerate of the things you deliver. Thank you for your time.

Maybe you shouldn't wait until the day your bills are due, or after, to pay them? Do you typically get random, unscheduled, surprise bills that just show up in your mail exactly one day before they are due??? I'd bet the problem is your planning skills & not the mail service.

Actually, Leonard, our taxes do not support the Post Office. That's probably the only US Government department that operates on the funds it collects from the service it provides. I agree that they are sometimes very inefficient, but that's common to most government agencies.

They literally never answer the phone, no matter how many times you call, how long you let the phone ring, what time of day, etc. Worst customer service I've ever seen, completely useless.
