On May 30th I called the Clearing Post Office looking for a package that was suppose to be delivered the day before. It was pretty important that I get that day. A postal worker named Skipper (don't know if that was her real name but that is what she told me) went above and beyond to track the package. She made sure it was out for delivery, made sure it was my regular mail person(because on Saturdays I don't always get mail) and than called her and left her a message about the need to get the package. And through it all she was pleasant about, which does not always happen at that post office. I did receive the package which made me happy but to deal with Skipper it made my day. Thank you!

PLEASE REPLACE THE MAILBOX THAT WAS REMOVED FROM THE SE CORNER OF :S. KEELER AVENUE & S. ARCHER AVENUE! This mailbox in what is the WEST ELSDON neighborhood, is heavily used by residents and others (there are businesses near this intersection, like PNC bank) to mail letters, etc.-- and we depend on it being there and protest its removal last week. (I know for a fact this long-time box is heavily used by the neighborhood, as I am a resident there; and every time I see a postal employee emptying it, it is full to the brim). There are NO other mailboxes nearby (for many blocks) in the surrounding area. Yet, in the vicinity of the Clearing P.O. Station, along Archer Avenue in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood, there are at least 5 boxes I counted today! That is ridiculous and unfair to West Elsdon residents to have their only mailbox removed. Some years back, it was removed from that corner, then replaced after many people must have protested then. So, why has it been taken away yet again? Please make sure it is replaced immediately. I know street construction had gone on their the last couple of weeks, but I also saw that at the time, the mailbox was in place. It was only two days or so after all the construction was gone, that the box went missing-- I think this was last Wednesday or Thursday. Anyway, again that makes no sense. The box was pretty new (the last time it had been restored it was brand new) and was not moved nor damaged by the street construction. So, it is VERY PUZZLING as to WHY IT HAS GONE MISSING ONCE AGAIN. PLEASE PUT IT BACK once and for all!!

This post office is ridiculous! There is only one person working the counter at Christmas time. I have been here 14 minutes and she is only on the 2nd customer and there are still more ahead of me. There are also 5 people behind me.
