I am thoroughly disappointed with the lady who answers the phone at the Grove Ct post office. She has connected me with the incorrect dept she said she would connect me too. She also gave the incorrect phone number for the post office the address is serviced by. Fortunately I talked to a woman who knew what post office I needed to talk to and gave me the correct phone number. At that number I talked to another very competent young man who explained this type of change would have to be done at the post office in person. I lived in Elgin for over 50 years and it saddens me to see how some Federal employees have gotten so incompetent and almost rude in helping customers. I guess this is just the condition of "customer service" in todays world. I never thought I would say this but "I'm glad I won't be around to see our society decline so". This note will probably end up in someones trash can without any impack, but I do feel good saying these things and who knows, I might even get a response to this. God bless.
Have there been complaints about letters that were dropped off to be mailed from this location that are not received ? At Xmas , I sent two gift cards to Skokie and they never got them. Then this month I sent one to Lorain Ohio and it still has not been received. This is concerning. I am hoping it is just a backup.
I get a report every morning of mail I should receive that day. Yesterday it showed that I should have received five letters ( one that was from the Social Security Office) and a package. I received my package and a fedex priority package for someone else. I don’t really care about the junk mail, but I would like to know what Social Security was writing me.
How do you suggest this gets fixed?
Thank you,
Catherine Henning
Is it too much to ask that the postal carrier ring the doorbell when leaving a package? The new carriers never do. Wish we had our previous carrier back!
