The mail person on our route decided it was a good idea to write "no name, no mail" across the stainless steel mail boxes in permanent marker. I am at a loss for words.

Worst postal department in the state. Argumentative and lacks understanding of their duty as a postal service. Complaint department: I would like to file a formal complaint against the manager of the Vernon Hills Illinois post office. Is this the correct location? Either way I would appreciate an email back. I am furious with the lack of service and cooperation from the Vernon Hills post office. I sent a signed certified envelope that was purchased and sent from the Grayslake post office to an address in Vernon Hills. (This was a legal document that required a return signature to prove the document was delivered and received by a certain individual. The envelope and sending would have no purpose whatsoever if sent by regular mail as that could not be proven in a court of law. The post office was not able to show verification of the delivery or the receipt of delivery? So poorly managed.... while the mangerI believe her name was Louann or Lola? did refund my money for the certified mail she refused to refund me the envelope purchased for the sole purpose of this transaction because I honestly told her the person called me and received it and was upset? While that is the truth I have no way to prove that in court which was the entire purpose of the purchase and the sending of the documents. This is a matter of principal. The post office still owes me $1.50 for the envelope. When I brought all this up "I had to fill out forms to request my money back" That should be done by the post office who failed to perform their job. Not me!! All the information is at their fingertips and completely their fault not mine. She also would not give back my original receipt. That was mine and a copy is inadequate. My tracking number was #70192280000144310084 Please provide a response to my complaint? Thank you for addressing this issue. Ronald Van Roeyen 31297 Liberty Rd Grayslake,Il 60030

Rude service and felt bullied after waiting 39 min in line. Went to get a passport, made to wait in line 45 min as others were serviced. She even took a break before waiting on me. The other two postal workers would not service me either.

Very rude and unpleasant. The person helping me is not polite. If they are not allowed to answer questions relating to passport renewal, a notice should be posted or when we pick up the renewal application, they can politely inform us that they will not answer any questions. Insulting a customer should not be normal practice in this location. A lesson in politeness can take care of a small problem. Thank you.

I am very disappointed with this Post Office . I called on Monday to get a passport and the man said it was by appointment ,so I made one for Friday 11am . He said I can get a Walgreens picture or take 1 there. I stated I would just get it all done at one Location so I would do it there. I arrived 10min to 11 and was informed camera wasn't working and I would have to go to Walgreens for the picture . I wasn't happy about it but what could I do. Arrive at the Walgreens and the woman who is taking the picture states she has been with Walgreens for 12-years and the camera at the Post office hasn't worked in 10 years. I get my picture go back to the Post office and after I am almost ready she states it will be 110.00. I have a credit card only and 50.00 in cash so I have to go back hopefully on Saturday and get this completed. I wish when I had made the appointment they had mentioned they don't have a working camera and it will be 110.00.
