My package of medications, which was supposed to be delivered to me, was taken back to the post office due to a "failed delivery attempt." This happened because the postal worker didn’t want to carry the package 200 meters to my door, because our apartment mailbox is too small to fit it.
They didn’t even leave the proper "attempted delivery" slip—I only found out by looking up the tracking number. Then, after my doctor’s office called to help locate the package, we discovered that it had been lost and somehow ended up in Minnesota. It was supposed to be delivered last Thursday, but it never arrived.
I have attempted multiple times to call the post office, but the phone just rings until it disconnects. I haven’t been able to reach anyone to confirm whether my medications are at the office or to arrange a proper redelivery.
Three of my packages were delivered after 8 PM last night at my neighbor's house. This morning I read an email from Etsy that a package was delivered, and I had to go out searching for it. I found three mis-delivered packages! Late night, evening deliveries make for haste rather than care in delivery! Schedule deliveries at times when a mail carrier can work effectively.
Gage Center discriminates against disabled persons. Rather than providing me a secure mailbox as other residents have, I've been given an unsecured one. Two items were stolen out of it, which I had to report to the USPS IG and the Topeka Police Department back in 2021. In addition, their policy is to only check my unsecured mailbox when they have mail to deliver. I've had time-sensitive items waiting to be picked up by mail carriers for as much as six days. The US Postal Service at Gage Center should be renamed "US Postal We-Might-Get-Around-To-It."
James couldn’t answer my questions without giving me an attitude and stating he doesn’t make the rules. I was literally was asking how to ship correctly and he wouldnt help by giving a straight answer. Went in circles and made me feel stupid. I don’t know why you’re like this, but know you shouldn’t treat people like that and listen.
I just called Gage Center Station in Topeka, KS and had a question about my PO Box. I spoke with Stephanie and she was very courteous, professional and helpful. I know the postal service doesn't always get a lot of praise, but employees like Stephanie are worthy of mention.
Thank you USPS
