No use calling post office . No one ever ever answers phone Waiting for an important package . Wouldn’t fit in regular so they put it in the lager box. Lock is so rusted out the box won’t open so my packagers are stuck it there.useless calling post office . Nothing but problems with postal service

Supervisor: This is at least the second time I have to inform you of extremely poor mail delivery service.For probably the twelfth time,I received someone else’s mail; same numbers,completely different street. Also,this carrier seems unable or unwilling to place the mail in the receptacle box. Our mail is always sticking halfway out of the box,which defeats the purpose of a closed,lockable mailbox. I think that getting the correct mail to the correct address and placing it correctly in the box should be a basic part of the carrier’s job description.

I understand we do not get mail on Sunday and we do not get mail on Federal Holidays, but why do we not get mail the day after the holiday? That is ridiculous!

Rotten service, when our regular man is off mail is not delivered. Already made one report of package left in rain by mailbox in front of home and reported package not delivered that they found when they were reported to regional head

We have not had mail pickup/delivery for over 2 weeks, even after bringing USPS attention to the problem. Was told they would check into the problem, but still no mail service or response from Elmwood.

I recently met a new carrier on my street whose name is Timothy. I am so impressed by his friendliness, professionalism, and the enthusiasm he shows for his job. I live on Roseland Pkwy in Harahan and surely hope he will become our permanent carrier. He does a great job!!

I had problems living on Tucker for 2 years. I have moved and had my email forwarded once in June 26/2019 and received two pieces. I did a change of address again in September 18th 2019 same thing. Here it is in November 14th 2019. and still not receiving my mail. I contacted the post office and they sent out test mail and still was not forwarded.

I frequently mail packages back home to the 70123 area, and overall the packages arrive intact and on time. Haven't had any to go missing either, that I can recall. However, the packages that are sent to the Westbank--that's a whole different story! Kudos to the hardworking folks at the Elmwood Post Office, and a great big 'Thank you!" too.

Once again no mail service - typically this is on Monday's but this date 2/12/19 nothing. I really wouldn't have a problem with this except that I had outgoing mail that needed to be sent which still remains attached to my box. Very frustrating! This is taking place on Tucker Street route - 70121 Our daily carrier is fabulous - this absence of delivery seems to take place on his off days. Get it together postal service!

I thought my mail problems were new, but I guess not. If we get mail twice a week we are lucky. But you can forget about packages.

I have not had mail delivery in days. (Madelyn Ln) My mail preview shows several pieces of mail were to be delivered in the past two days, but I have not seen one piece of mail. One is vitally important. I've been waiting all week for it. River Ridge

Worst service ever!!! I live at Mark Twain 1 at 106 Mark Twain Dr, Apt 06,River Ridge, LA 70123. I get my life saving medications thru USPS and they were shipped on March 16th. Some that need refrigeration, go to my doctor's office and some are supposed to come to my home address. The doctor's office called a week ago to let me know they were there, but still nothing of the ones shipped to my River Ridge address. And surprise, surprise, when I call the post office on Citrus, the phone rings at least 30 times and then gores to a fast busy signal. No wonder so many people refuse to use USPS and instead choose a private service. KEEP UP THE LOUSY WORK, AND SOON YOU ALL WILL BE UNEMPLOYED WHEN USPS IS FINALLY SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY DUE TO INCOMPETENCE!!! People rely on you people to do your job and some of our actual lives depend on it! Shameful!!!

I am sick of Harahan, LA 70123 postal service. I have lived at this address for over 40 years. Never had a problem until may 12 or 18 months now. All of a sudden I get text that package was not able to be delivered because address is in a gated community. NOT TRUE!!! Mail carrier is too lazy to use index finger to open gate when the package does not fit into the mailbox. Also messages that package has been delivered and don't receive the package until 1 or 2 days later. I pay a yearly fee to Amazon for 2 day delivery and am not receiving package within the 2 days. Postal service should reimburse me everytime my package does not arrive when scheduled. I am sick,l sick, sick of Harahan Post Office, 70123.

I live in the Creeks apts, and we had no delivery on Monday and Thursday of this week. I called the post office, and it just rang off the hook. I guess they are trying to force everyone to rent a small $70/year post office box if they want mail delivery.

Tried to call the post office but got no answer after the message said to wait for a person. I have not received a Sports Illustrated magazine since December 2017 at my delivery address. My subscription is paid through October 2022, so this is a concern as it has been 6 weeks since I got one. Our mail delivery is spotty at best as we rarely get service on a Saturday and may not get it another day during the week. Can you please look into the issues at your location with the delivery personnel?

No mail delivery to The Creeks today (1/22). I thought Steve Scalise's office had promised last month to get this sorry and pathetic post office in shape?

I have attempted to call this post office to find out when payment is due for our company PO box. Every time I called (which was a lot), there was no answer whatsoever. Heading there now to give them a piece of my mind. Why do you have a phone if you refuse to answer it????!!!

I tried calling the Elmwood P.O. but the recording simply went unanswered--not a good business or government practice. I called to register a complaint about a P.O. employee driving a rental truck (BE4799D) with a USPS sticker who tailgated my car on Citrus between Jefferson Hwy and Hickory Street, a 20 mph speed limit. Then he passed at high speed in a no passing zone and began to tailgate a second car. The incident occurred at 11:15 AM on December 28, 2017.

Quite possibly the laziest staff that I have ever encountered. I had to visit this post office 3 times last week to pick up packages that were never delivered to my apt. If it's too difficult for them to do that aspect of their job, please let me know. I can skip the frustration and just start picking up my mail at the post office. I have to do that 75% of the time anyways.

Got an email saying my package was delivered in my mailbox at the Creeks of River Ridge....no package in my mailbox and its been 3 days. What the hell?

So, USPS Elmwood didn't bother to deliver mail to The Creeks (8 apartment complexes!), yesterday.

Did a forward mail request for a PO Box at this location to a new address in Destrehan. We receive some forwarded mail in 2 days and have received some mail over 60 days later. To add to it some mail is being returned to customers-check payments undeliverable. I contacted them and of course no answer. I contacted our new post office in Destrehan and they answered right away and helped in saying all mail should be forwarded in a timely manner. Therefore someone is not doing their job or a good job and should not have a job...it is unacceptable and becoming a major issue for our business.

Our normal postman during the week is excellent but the weekend postwoman needs to get off the cell phone and pay attention to her job.

I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHEN IN THE HECK DO WE RECEIVE MAIL. SO FAR, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MAIL ON WEDNESDAYS AND SATURDAYS. THIS IS A CRYING SHAME TO DO THIS ESP. Dis not receive deliveries on Saturday (11/11/17) or Monday (11/13/17). When checking tracking on a package I was waiting on... said that "carrier was unable to access front door / no gate code". Really?? There is no gate code. I was home. No mail or packages delivered. Maybe try being honest with the residents. Y'all decided not to deliver that day.

I am very disappointed with this post office. I have 3 different packages that were supposed to be delivered to me within the past month and a half and I have not received either. I have had to contact the company in which they were purchased in order to get a refund. When I check the status it says it was delivered or there was an attempt to deliver which is very inaccurate as I am home all the time during the night and day. Also when you call the post office you cannot get through. So unprofessional. If there were another delivery service I could use I would certainly do so.

The many carrier's that the Elmwood Post Office need to stay off of their phone (earpiece) long enough to pay attention to what they are doing....many times my mail and small packages have gone to the neighboring property. Please, please, pay attention get our mail in the right mailbox and get off of your phones. Thank you

Getting late bills in the mail after not having mail for who-knows-how-long. No answer on the phone after calling for an hour straight. Failure to pick up mail. Using that stupid blanket statement saying that my package was not able to be delivered due to lack of access (my mailbox is in front of my house with no gate). I would like some answers. Next step is to call my representatives.

USPS in Harahan needs an overhaul !!!!. They posted that my package was in my mailbox. For 1 thing, the package was too large for a mailbox, LIE, another thing, it wasn't delivered to my house, another Lie. How many people and how many years do we have to complain to the Harahan USPS on Citrus before you clean up the Government workers that stay on the phone and not do their job ? You have a bunch of worker that do not know how to read a Street name nor an address. This has happened numerous times in River Ridge and by telling us you are short handed doesn't justify the fact that they cannot read ! Do your JOB !

No mail in Harahan, again. Time to file a lawsuit

Trying to contact this post office location regarding undelivered package - no one ever answers the phone!

I live in Harahan, LA and we are not getting 6 days of mail delivery. We have not had a delivery this past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Saturday morning I went to the Post Office on Citrus to look for medication I was expecting. I was told that they are having staffing issues and a new district manager who has a different plan. Another customer was looking for her mail and she and I were both told that all of the mail was going to go out that day, Saturday. Guess what? No mail delivery Saturday. I checked with both next door neighbors and a few down the street and no one has had delivery since Wednesday.

Just found out today 5/12 that the harahan post office as well as other branches are short handed and not delivering mail in all areas. There was no notice to residents. I will be notifying parish and state officials to see what can be done. Especially when medicine is not being delivered.

I have been disturbed for quite some time that the official (female) postal delivery person has been THROWING my packages on my porch. At first I ignored the it, then I had 2 to 4 temps deliver packages and came to my door (which is almost open) and knocked to make me aware of the deliveries. This is unacceptable!

Every week, I have to call and go into the post office because they can't seem to deliver a package. If its too big for the mailbox or parcel locker, I can understand that. Leave a notice and my husband or I will pick it up. But that's not the case. If we didn't watch our tracking numbers like a hawk, we wouldn't even know that our packages were attempted to be delivered and that we need to pick them up because they don't leave a notice (but the website says they did!). They should know us by first name with the number of times we have to go retrieve our packages. We've had packages delivered to the wrong zip code, packages we've gone to pick up and told that they're out for delivery (and we don't recieve them that day, or the next or even the next). It just seems like if they can't find a package that's supposed to be there, they tell you its out for delivery just so you'll go away. The carriers rarely scan the packages (why even have tracking numbers?!?!) I could understand if it were to happen once or twice over a few months, but EVERY WEEK?! It is absolutely ridiculous and I can't wait to move so that they aren't delivering our mail anymore. Just today, a package that was out for delivery YESTERDAY (and subsequently had "no status update" attached to its tracking number afterwards) was left in a locked parcel box and a note left ON SOMEONE ELSE'S MAIL IN MY BOX that the package was left in the parcel box labeled 3B. This is a locked parcel box and NO KEY WAS LEFT TO OPEN IT. This was after going to the post office, being told that it was out for delivery, then once the mail came it wasn't delivered and I called again and I was given a very lame excuse (they have carrier inspections going on and it takes forever for them to get to leave...I WONDER WHY THEY'RE HAVING INSPECTIONS). Now I have to try and get the damn key to get my package and hope that it wasn't put in someone else's box.

I have lived at my present address for 2 years now and I continue receiving ALL of my neighbor's mail; I not only get their mail in my silver mailbox which requires a key but I also get their mail in a defunct, derelict mailbox next to my front door. It is clear as day that mail is not supposed to go in that box by the door as their is a USPS mail bank that the apartment complex uses. I have written my name on a piece of paper an placed it in the mailbox yet I keep receiving other's mail. I'm sick of no accountability being taken with these mail carriers, yet, they can be accountable to their damn phones as I often see (when I catch her) the mail carrier on her phone. I live in apartment B but I get A, C, D, E, F and G. I am PISSED. I just tried to call and complain to the post office but the phone rang for 5 damn minutes. I will be going over there this evening and I am not happy. I see why there's no trust in the USPS.

I just received a text stating USPS was at my business but no one was home so package was returned to USPS. This is ridiculous, I live in a home and have been waiting for delivery all morning. I've made several complaints to the Harahan office about packages THROWN into the front yard and not delivered. I'm having security cameras installed next week so I'll have photographic evidence. USPS SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!

We had no mail service yesterday and now it is 2:10 and not mail today. I called this morning and was told I would have mail, now when I call no one answers, so convenient. This is really sad.

I just saw my post office driver throw two packages onto porches. Packages are not newpapers and this is not an acceptable standard Harahan, Louisiana
