This is absolutely the worst post office ever. No phone communication ever. No helpful supervisor. Mail problems and deliveries are off and the customer service is terrible from most of the employees.

This is the worst postal office/customer service that I have ever dealt with in my entire 50 years of life and have lived in multiple states over the years. People need to lose their jobs here and I am not one for wishing bad things on others but... Packages do not arrive on time and or when the USPS app states that they are "OUT FOR DELIVERY," and then do not show up for days on end leaving me to think that the postal carrier is either holding them in his vehicle out of laziness, or someone at the post office isn't doing their job and making sure that the packages are being placed with the carrier after being scanned "Out For Delivery." Either way mail is constantly late and has been delivered to the wrong address on multiple occasions in the past and have had to be either delivered by the home owner or retrieved by myself after a week plus dealing with the postal site manager and not being able to get the Geo Location of the package because they cover up for each other there like true blue always do. I have lost thousands of dollars in business due to this postal office's lack of on-time delivery and professionalism. I wish there was a way to file loss against them for the damage they have created for my small already struggling business!!! I would not recommend using this branch ever if at all possible and totally avoid use due to the fact that I have now seen other poor reviews and know that it's not just me being hard on an already over-burdened, and undertrained staff.

I totally agree. This is the worse post office, the manager should be fired for the many mishaps and stolen packages.

This is the most useless postal office I have ever encountered. My mail is consistently not delivered for days. The past few days I’ve had packages where “delivery was attempted but the driveway/front door was inaccessible.” This is a bold-faced lie. I have an unlocked gate right next to my front door and a mailbox on my curb with nothing blocking access to either, and until two days ago the post office (when they decided to bother delivering my mail in the first place) had no issues doing so. So they’re deliberately lying because they can’t be bothered to, you know, do their job. Would highly recommend living literally anywhere else, as this is the only place of the many I’ve lived over the years that does this.

Not sure what to think about mail delivery in the 70114 area! As a sender, it irks me to know that Priority packages routinely arrive late, sometimes they are thrown or dropped in the front yard, etc. And as others have mentioned, sometimes packages just aren't delivered and tags are left saying that you have to go to the post-office to pick them up! Here's the latest: a Priority Box with Oreo brand cookies in it (properly marked 'Perishable') was delivered late (past the expected date on the shipping receipt), and the cookies inside were MELTED! That's right... melted. Given that Oreo cookies would typically have to be microwaved to cause them to melt, wouldn't it make you wonder where the hell the box was left sitting around to get THAT hot??? And why does the Post Office put such emphasis on labeling shipments as fragile and/or perishable, when in reality it looks like they really don't do a thing to handle the packages with care according to the labeling! Oh, and the official postal rules state that people who ship perishable items do so at their own risk. I guess now I know why. I've heard it can be hell working at the post-office and I guess they just have to share the love!

Why pay for priority mail when the postal person doesn't make an effort to try a delivery at your door. Each time I've had to go to the post office to pick up my packages. Now mind you I have a job and work post office hours so that means basically waiting til Saturday to go get the packages. These deliveries or lack of them are ridiculous, frustrating and costly!

Parcels from this facility consistently miss deadline delivery. Could have one of the poorest track records in the country.

My daughter ordered an item from Etsy. It was a sign it book for her upcoming graduation party. I reside in an apartment so the mail person decided to stuff it into a small mail slot. The book is ruined and we have to reorder. It was personalized. Unfortunately this office doesn't answer the phone either.

I stood in line at the Algiers (McArthur) post office for a total of 38 minutes.15 minutes just to get to the counter, someone came out to ask if anyone was picking up mail, gave employee my ticket and id, waited another 23 minutes. I finally got disgusted and left. The Postal Service is horrible, I also get my mail after 4 pm in the evening, packages left in the rain and mail for addresses that are sometimes 2-3 block away from my home, yet the keep going up on prices.

Mail deliveries to the 200 block of Pelican Avenue are down to 2 or 3 days of the week. We must be at the end of the route. At the end of the day, we often see the mail truck on the corner, deliver some adjoining blocks and then leave. Very frustrating especially when you're waiting for holiday cards or bills that are going to be due soon.

Our mail, on Cumberland Ct, used to be delivered around 2pm but for the last 6 months plus, we are not getting our mail until 8 or 9pm. In fact, today’s mail was just delivered at 9:26pm. This has to stop now. It is dangerous for senior citizens on this street to go out in the dark to get their mail or worse, have it stolen during the night because they didn’t realize it was delivered that late. I am giving you an opportunity to fix this immediately or will escalate this all the way to the top including the Post Master General. Yes, I have her email address ,
