I've always had fine service at this post office. I try to go in with documents and labels prepared best that I can. And try to avoid the most busy hours. That always helps for prompt and efficient service at any agency. Very often I watch other patrons hold up the line with their poorly prepared items. However, the staff seems patient enough to help or instruct them on how to prepare their items there in the office. You'll always get better service when polite and patient. That goes for any company or agency office. Our home mail service has always been fine. We even had a carrier some years back who would walk our third-grade daughter home from the school bus and collected our young dog and brought it home when he found it loose on his route. Unfortunately for us, he got transferred to another route across the river in Virginia. I find most carriers friendly and chatty enough if one says hello.
a so called supervisor named katia, cannot keep track of customer'sreference number. her subordinate boasts to know her job but redirected a package bound for canada to the united kingdom. katia cannot keep track of the package. over 1 week now as of this writing and says that the package is still located at the postal service of the united kingdom. when asked for the address of the united kingdom post office, she says she cannot hear me anymore. then call was prematurely disconnected. called three times thereafter and no one is answering. wasting time on federally funded servants who do not understand customer service should be presented to the public!!
I received a scam email and will send it to you separately. I responded to the request with a lot of false information including a credit card that is no longer available for use.
Normally are neighborhood mail carriers are pleasant, accurate and diligent. This past week we have had mail trucks hopping the curbs and leaving trenches in wet soggy ground. My neighbor asked the mail carrier to move the truck and based on the response called the supervisor. Very ugly scene caused by the carrier as I walked my dog by. Noticed on my way back the carrier just pulled down the street a couple of houses and hopped their curb, leaving more muddy trenches. I wish I could post photos here.
We haven't received mail for over a week. There are important bills, checks and packages that haven't arrived. Haven't seen a carrier or mail truck at all.
As a former postal service employee I'm quite disappointed in the level of service at the complex where I live. I know we're in a pandemic but I have not received mail in over a week and I know there are pieces that have been sent to me. Important things are lost, a package and a check that somebody mailed me. There doesn't seem to be any accountability for the carriers.
This is the worst maintained post office I’ve ever been in. They do not clean on a regular basis nor put out enough supplies , and their kiosk is constantly out . You can’t get a straight answer from anyone and really if you don’t know the truth just ask someone that does, how hard is that ?I’ve gone to this facility for over a month now and the kiosk has been not working at night , was told they were waiting for a part ... really for a month... today I was told by the supervisor that it’s been working all month ... well totally not true everytime I’ve been there recently it’s not working . Then the trash is spilling all over the floor, everytime I’m there ... I get this cocky response from the supervisor, whom never ever takes responsibility not asks you how can we help or improve our service , instead you get these BS answers like I can’t control the trash people leave behind , ugh yes you can , pick it up and throw it out or hire a new cleaning person who cares ... I brought up my concerns about the unhealthy condition of the place and them following CDC guidelines and I got a cocky you can’t prove that ... and I said so I’ll just call the health dept and let them prove it since she didn’t seem to care , nor defend herself by explaining the measures they are taking . I’m sure if they have cameras they can prove it ... how’s that for avoiding all my emails and concerns , and putting the public at risk .
If you don’t care ... then you leave it up to others to care !
To the Carrier Supervisor, 14030 Connecticut Ave, SS MD 20906, I am not sure if you will ever see this but I am a devoted customer and a firm believer in the USPS. I have lived in numerous places and encountered many examples of excellent service as a USPS consumer, but never have I been the recipient of such quality, professional service since our current Carrier Ms Sherrie Beagle. When she's working we can set our watch by her. Packages and letters are delivered correctly and on time on a consistent basis and with a smile. Whether it's a hot day, a cold day or a rainy one, I call her sunshine because that's the radiance she brings when she arrives. Yet she does not waste time talking. She stays focused as she distributes the mail. Her uniform is clean and fresh looking and she recognizes the names of the tenants besides me. In these days when it seems everything possible is being done to damage the name and reputation of the USPS, I am pleased to be one to stand up and say thank you for employees like Ms Beagle who consistently go out of their way to uphold the legacy of the Postal Service. Sincerely yours, Rev. Dr. Deborah Keaton, Leisure World 20906
The postal worker in my neighborhood doesn’t seem to care about how he the packages are places. My husband and myself have asked repeatedly for him not to cram our packages in the mailbox they’ve been destroyed. I’ve witnessed mine and other packages thrown from the street to the door step. I had one package thrown so hard at my door my dogs started barking and woke my baby up. And the package was breastfeeding supplies that were pretty bent up. We’ve asked him if he didn’t mind not doing that where we were met with a very dismissive, we lost out mailbox key during this Corona situation and I’ve had to request my mail from him and he has definitely not liked that. I apologize to him I know he’s doing a dangerous job, but I’m just a mom with her kids trying to get my electric bill.
This is the worst post office in this area.
My mail (including bank statements and tax forms) that the senders have verified were mailed to me, are obviously being put into a different mail slot. I know this because I often get mail for other residents of this development.
Spoke with some agent at the PO only to be told that the person substituting for the regular delivery person makes "mistakes" when the regular delivery person is on leave.
Common sense would prompt the PO supervisor to speak with this "delivery substitute" but I was given no assurance that problem would be resolved--just "have a nice day."
We continue to receive certified mail in mail box with regular mail. This has been brought to the attention of post office supervisor, however, the problem persist.
Unhinged violent mailman works here. Threatens people by jumping out of his truck that call out his laziness. Leaves box open, missing mail, loud music, drives too fast etc.... no resolution available. PO box is the only option
more than 2 weeks ago we lost our mailbox key-went to aspen hill to request a new lock. After 2 weeks the lock hadn't been changed AND we found the key. We immediately called the post office and cancelled the order. They assured us the order was cancelled. Today, I try to get my mail to find the key wont work-the lock was changed!!! I'm leaving for a week of travel tonight and have NO way of getting my mail -including checks I was expecting. I have been on the phone for 7 minutes with Ms. Henderson (a supposed supervisor) who has had me on hold for 6 of those 7 minutes. This service, or lack of, is HORRIBLE! It is akin to the horrible customer service at MVA. Accountablility-there is NONE!
Went to the Passport fair this weekend at 10:08 and the fair started at 10. We were told no appointments. We get there and are about 15th in line which is fine. The lady named TINA(older asian lady) was yelling at people and not explaining anything. We were all confused, after waiting about 20 minutes and people asking about adding their name onto the list to get the passport she finally said she had a page an a half of people already in which she was going around asking for them and they were not there so I am not sure how they got on the list in the first place since there are no appointments she said she needed to see if any of these people on the list where there first before she can add more names to the list which were about 40 people waiting in line to add their name to the list. Tina kept yelling at several people and being rude and not explaining anything or telling anyone how all those other people got on the list when the fair had just started. If you are going to promote passport fairs I would suggest someone else do it as Tina is rude and everyone in line was confused not to mention it was disorganized. I know im not the only person to complain about her as several people were asking her for her name so they could complain.
