Mail coming from Maryland consistently takes 10-16 days to arrive to me in Northport. Mail sent from the same sender on the same day arrives to my father’s house in Belmont in 3-4 days. This has happened 4 times in a row since November 2024. I’ve called and called and called at least 5-6 times a day for the last 2 days to inquire about it but nobody answers. I’ve been avoiding trying to go into the office directly because I’ve been sick for a week, coughing and choking and spitting up phlegm with cold sweats, massive nasal congestion, and a sore throat. Looks like I’ll have to drive there and do it in person anyway since nobody seems to answer the phone.
Went to Lincolnville PO to mail an urgent package that was time sensitive as it was a water test. Paid postage for it and they did not cover up old label and USPS returned the package to us at our home address 2 days later and ruined the test. Simple procedure to check and make sure it is being sent to the right place. Very inconvenient and frustrating that we cannot count on them to do the job right.
