Patricia, Passport Application Staff Post Office (PO) at 1 Floretta Place On Friday, July 15, 2022, I applied for a Passport at the NC State Post Office (PO) located at 1 Floretta Place,Rm88 Raleigh NC 27676 Patricia had been assisting everyone, including myself, during the entire application process. The Passport application fee was > $100.00. I was unable to pay this fee at that time. When I had asked Patricia (Pat) how to get to my Bank so that I could get cash to pay the Passport application fee, she drew a map for me to find the Bank. Because I was unfamiliar with the area, she then offered to show me where the Bank was located. She paid the Passport application fee for me and took me to the Bank in order to return her loan to me. She guided me to the Bank, driving her own car while I followed her in my car. Patricia was indispensable helping me during the long heavy rain storm which occurred at that time, forcing us to stop for a long time with our car blinker lights flashing. Next, at my request, she helped me find Strickland Rd so that I could return to my Apartment. Thank You. David R Regan

I had to make two passport appointments for my two months old baby and last appointment they call last minute and canceled. So I have to went there this morning (5/21) I was there at 9am and I asked my husband to stay online because of Covid I don’t want my baby to stay around much people and wait inside the car then this guy who works at the front desk named “Kevin” refused to help without baby and me and baby went inside and he ask to stay on the back of the line again. This is my third time I had to go to line and by the time I got done with my baby’s passport application submitted was noon. This person is very rude and unprofessional. I have to argue with this person because of his behavior plus the way he’s yelling at me without considering or being sorry for the inconvenience. Since I have a baby and I waited months for my appointment and these people call after business hours and cancel appointments. Which is very bad and I clearly want to say to upper management that please take the suitable action on these type of activity. This is very unfair for people like me and innocent baby’s.

If you have anything valuable,, Don't mail it from here. It might just vanish into thin air. My daughter mailed my irreplaceable bow which I purchased 17 years ago and is no longer made. She packaged it at the facility in view of the clerks which was obviously a big mistake, and when it arrived to me the box was empty. All that was in the box was the cloth sleeve it was wrapped in and someone had put a pink sticker on the box saying "received without contents". As you can imagine, I was devastated as there is no way to replace the bow and nobody at USPS cares that this packaged was obviously tampered with. The tear in the box is not large enough for the bow to pass through. How does a 25 inch 3 lb. 12 oz piece of beautifully machined aluminum just "dissappear". To make matters worse when my daughter went back to ask if anybody had seen or found it, she was called all kinds of names by the clerk who also immediately, without reason, accused my daughter of accusing them of stealing which was absolutely false. Why was this person so defensive? How does a bow get out of a taped package through a tear smaller than the object? How is it that just the sleeve the bow was wrapped in remain in the still taped box? Why would anybody "retape" an empty box? None of it makes sense. Something isn't right and USPS has only offered a fraction of what it was insured for. Fedex scans every package as it goes on and off each truck. It scans every package it receives as it comes in and leaves. Couriers empty their trucks and anything left like this would be given to the proper person to ensure anybody looking for it would get it back. It seems to me that this facility and USPS is woefully lacking proper security and they just don't care who they hurt. Judging by the other reviews of this facility, I am not the only one questioning the integrity of what might be happening to "missing contents" at this facility. I pointed out that I wasn't the only one who had mysteriously, unexplained, "missing" mail out of this facility and USPS's PR person just blew it off. Said people just "write stuff". Well I am a real person with real feelings and I know my bow just didn't dissappear. Isn't it time the USPS Postmaster General inspector listen to people whose package contents have mysteriously "gone missing" at this facility to find out why? USPS won't investigate mail tampering. The people who work here remind me of the rioters who feel entitled to other people's property and if you question them, you are automatically dismissed because of the color of your skin. The employee was almost like a child who becomes"defensive" when they have done something wrong which begs the question. . . Why Beware? Beware. Isn't "tampering" with US mail a felony? Why doesn't USPS review their videos? How does something like this "walk off" and dissappear if USPS is running any type of effective security to ensure your mail is safe? Bottom line is, this didn't just dissappear and someone knows something. Why isn't USPS investigating to find out?

Last night my son and I traveled to this post office/distribution center to mail back his textbooks that needed to be postmarked yesterday. This office states last collection is 8:00pm. We arrived at 7:30pm, but there was no where to drop the package. :( Our local post office allows you to drop packages 24 hours, but there last pick up time is 5:00 pm. This location is a distribution center that should allow you to drop off packages 24/7 just like ours, especially with the latest pick up time of any around.

Worst post office ever. No one answers no one gets back to you. No one works they lose your important mail and have no idea where it is. Horrible this location needs investigating or should be shut down.

There are some really great things about this branch. The person who runs the package pickup window is wonderful. She works very hard, is extremely pleasant, and is very knowledgeable. We are very lucky to have her in our district. The main counter runs very efficiently. Not a lot of chit chat. They get things done!

This review is to counteract negative comments below. I have been going to this post office since it opened and have always received wonderful, polite service from all the employees. Something may happen in delivery, for which these employees in the post office are not responsible. But they do a great job of serving the public in a fast, efficient, polite if you are polite to them, manner.

I live at 2910 Shady Grove Road in Durham, 27703. I tried to call the number above and it is a private person, so I guess I may have to visit the post office to complain that the postman now on three occasions has run off my driveway and damaged the lawn and just did it again today. The very wet conditions have made it so that he has left large, deep cuts each time.

Every time I go to the Westgate location, I see Nancy working hard; she seems to be everywhere! She actually pulled me out of line on Saturday to help speed along my visit. I appreciate her knowledge of her job, her willingness to always help, and taking the time to explain things to others. She is an absolute professional! Thank you, Nancy, for all you do!

Sucks does not begin to describe it. I am trying to find out why my package is not here and the only information I can get is that it was in South Carolina a week and a half ago. no one will answer on the customer service line the tracking line or my local post office. if ever there was a example of poor service this is it.

They won't answer your phone. Someone "tampered" with my package and then placed a "contents missing" sticker on it. It seems the people here have no moral compasses, and no integrity. I have left message after message and no response. Why? What are they afraid of? When so many items "go missing" they should be looking at their videos, questioning their employees, and wanting to figure out where stuff is going. Things should not be "vanishing" into thin air off so called usps "secure".facilities. at the very least the USPS should be investigating where items mysteriously "vanish" from their facilities. People pay for their mail to be delivered safely. USPS doesn't even pay the insured value of items. They screw the public in every way they can because they are allowed to do it.
