"CLOSED FOR LUNCH" for 2 hours—employee, "Ali" sat eating in his car 20 minutes past posted reopening time, refusing to get back to work while a long line of people baked in the sun.
If you think that Teaneck is any better, as Liam Neeson would say "Good Luck". Slow, rude and for a post office of that size , they could certainly put out some of the express envelopes etc, or a scale (they used to have) so that if you need something quick you could weigh it and send it without having to wait behind people with big boxes, or people who can't decide which stamp to use for their wedding or bar/bat mitzvah or other complicated matters. Teaneck library follows suit of being the unfriendliest unhelpful library in the county. I live in Teaneck and prefer to go ANYWHERE else for my library needs.
This is the worst post office I have ever visited. On several occasions, they "ran out of stamps" and the lady sent me away. On another occasion, she didn't have a full sheet of stamps for me, so she was going to sit and cut up sheets to give me the amount I needed. They always take personal phone calls, their hours change every day, they are nasty, they are slow, they treat the customers as if we are bothering them, AND they do not deliver the mail, but hold onto it and then declare that we owe them money because we refused delivery at one point (when we did not). I know that the only thing keeping these horrible workers around is the union, and that makes me sick, that they probably make more than I do, collect healthy pensions, and are a prime example of a poorly run government organization. If the place closed up shop tomorrow I would say, good riddance. When I can, I go to Teaneck.
Ridiculous! I went on a Saturday to mail an important package, and it said "Closed for lunch". What is this, European siesta hour? Have a back-up worker when the other one is out to lunch. Horrible service!!!
