I always have great service at the USPS Kenmore branch, however, today they went above and beyond. My 7 year old daughter and I visited to pick up stamps for her birthday party invitations. She wanted to handle things herself, so I waited in the lobby while she made the transaction. The employee who took care of her couldn't have been nicer. He came around from the desk to show her the book of stamps to choose from and was so patient and kind. When she left, she was so proud that she was able to all of it, including the mailing, herself. I wish I caught his name, but he is African American, bald and has a full beard. I plan to return to the office to bring him a thank you card.
For the last few months we have had a new postal worker at our address. The young lady is always talking on her phone as she delivers the mail. However, MANY times my neighbor upstairs and I get each others mail or mixed together. It's a good thing we are friends. Also, our mailboxes have the flag to indicate mail to be picked up and she continually forgets to take it or takes it and leaves the flag up. Obviously, she is not as conscientious as she needs to be at her job - perhaps because she's focused on her phone caller instead of her duties. Our neighborhood is the block of Euclid Avenue nearest to Delaware. Please investigate and have these slights corrected. We are elderly and cannot always get to the mailboxes at other locations and yet the mail that is left behind in our boxes has been important enough to create a problem for us.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
After living in Kenmore for 33 years, with the same mail box I've always had (a basket right inside the outer front door), suddenly some yahoo "safety inspector" decided that my mail should not be delivered because my mailbox "cannot be seen from the street". The thing is, most of the houses in the neighborhood do not have mailboxes outside and "visible from the street". Is this some weird new policy, or just an excuse not to deliver mail? Frustrating... can't even fire them and they know it.
My mail is getting delivered to the same address on LaSalle in Buffalo and not my correct address in Kenmore. I have been losing items that I have ordered. The person who lived at the Buffalo address was nice enough to bring an ordered item to me after looking me up on Facebook, but I am sure he is getting tired of it now.
Nobody answers the phone. When it does pick up it makes the fax machine noise. I see this was reported 3 months ago and yet nothing has been done about it. What a way to run a "business."
Completely agree. Never get through to anybody on the phone. It is as if picking up phone is not part of the job description. Ridiculous how a service can run this way!
Mail doesn't get delivered until almost 5:00 pm. It used to come before 1:00 pm. I find this new delivery time to be completely unacceptable. I work from home and my checks are mailed to me. I cannot make it to a bank in time with these new delivery hours and intend on escalating this complaint.
