The bilingual (English and Spanish) young lady who helped me mail stuff home on my last day in NYC (June 3, 2024) was terrific! I pack light but because I’d packed for cooler weather than we ended up having for most of my trip I had to send some stuff home to avoid having to check it. I had zero idea what I was doing. She explained what to do, gave me the right box and tape, approved my sloppy inexperienced taping (the package arrived four days later and was fine), and helped me realize I could stuff everything into a small box when I was initially skeptical. It was a remarkably stress free experience on my last day in the city. That aside, the building and the old murals are very atmospheric.

I called back UPS and USPS, NO RESULTS, they can not help me !.
The USPS customer support, did not try to mach to help, only at my requst provded the local number to contact, and maybe I will be able to get to a solution BUT,

They started delivering our mail (10009) when the post office on East 14 was closed. Since then, mail delivery has been uniformly terrible. Mail generally arrives late in the day and sometimes not at all. Don't bother calling because they never answer the phone. The problem, I suspect, is that they consolidated the 14th Street PO with the larger facility in Murray Hill.
This post office will "prompt" you to use the "automated" express kiosk for payment with debit or credit, but if you pay for express, (next day), your parcel won't get there next day. I'm asking for a refund, cause my flat express envelope was accepted at 4:05pm, on 2/26/14, and the girl said it would get there next day. It's still at the post office in the town my neice lives in, just upstate, and still isn't out for delivery today, 2/28/14 @ 9am. Oh, just got an email just now, that it's out for delivery @ 9:10am. So it looks like the email arrives 1.5hrs after any update; in my opinion, it should be instantaneous, like gps, or stocks. Humfff.
