The POSTMASTER Jon Adam Dillon should probably learn the Constitution of the United States and stop WASTING TAXPAYER MONEY BY PAYING HIM TO BE AN IDIOT.

This is to commend Kevin who helped me locate a package mailed on August 1 to Connecticut, but not received by my son as yet. He determined the zip code has been posted incorrectly so that my package ended up in New Jersey. He phoned that office and determined the mistake had been discovered and corrected. My package should reach its destination shortly. This iS not the first time Kevin has taken extra steps to make our interactions not only efficient but a pleasure as well. Thank you, Richard Carlson PO Box 1245

The Post Office closes at 5:30 now. Don't try to go at 5:45 or else they will be very rude and won't accept your package, even though there were three people working behind the counter. I hate this post office. The workers are the nastiest, meanest, and slowest I've ever seen!

Honestly, why should they be friendly to someone who shows up after close. I find it disrespectful for anyone who expects to be served after closing hours. Go to a retailer and you might see people inside after closing. Don't expect them to help you, they are working to get settled and go home. They have families too. I have never seen a rude person at the Athens post office. They work the best they can and work with a number of people trying to learn the Postal System and ship international. This is a college town, there is a lot of international shipping. I will gladly wait 45 minutes while the personnel work to help the people learn how to ship international. The counter clerks at the Athens post office are always friendly, one gentleman is always making jokes to entertain people while they wait. The only rude person here is you and your misunderstanding and expectation to be served on your demands instead if respecting closing times and whatever else you expect fed to you.

I agree. I go to the Albany post office instead. They are very friendly.I resent having to pay for the Athens PO retirement packages.

So disrespectful and you should plan accordingly since the 45701 folks are open all day. There isn't a mean, rude, disrespectful employee in the building or delivering our mail.
