Me Too. UPS has an agreement with USPS where they deliver the package to the post office for delivery. My UPS tracking says Berea post office got it on Nov 21. It's Nov 25 and I still don't have it. It wasn't from Amazon so that makes it more difficult. I plan to go to the Post Office Friday and, I guess, talk to a wall..expose myself to Covid and go home without my package. Fingers crossed. I usually use the Airport facility 3 miles away because I don't trust Berea.
This post office is ridiculously unorganized and ran by an incompetent manager, Dan. I have had two issues regarding my packages being delivered on time and in the right place. The first time, my package was sent to the wrong building. The second and current issue is that my package from Amazon was supposedly delivered at 8:30 AM on a Sunday and in fact it was NOT delivered. I was home in my apartment at 8:30 AM and, I did not hear any packages delivered to my door as I normally do when packages are delivered to my door. It has been 4 days and still no package. I called the post office and spoke with the manager directly who was inconsiderate, nonchalant, and essentially acted like it wasn't the post office's fault for losing my packages. He was unprofessional and would not take responsibility for his office's lack of efficient delivery.
He repeatedly told me that the package was scanned in and delivered to my apartment and there was a picture of this scan as evidence. There was no picture. There was no package. And there was no delivery. He claimed that my packages must have been stolen, which in fact they were not. I was home. Matter of fact, I did hear a truck outside of my apartment and heard them delivering mail (or small packages) as I heard mailboxes being opened and closed. Either way, I know my package wasn't stolen as I opened my door almost immediately when I got a notification that my packages were delivered. My packages were not there.
Amazon is not responsible for packages that are not delivered. The post office is responsible for that and I need a system implemented that creates accountability and verification on the office's end. If you take a picture of the "scanned package," I also want a picture of where that package was left (in front of the door, on the stairs, etc.) and I want to be notified via email or text of that said picture so I know where to look for it and if it was actually delivered.
I am livid and I will be continuing to pursue further action so that no one else had to deal with this incompetency and essentially, lies that a package was delivered when it was clearly NOT.
OMG, same thing happened to me! I was home when the carrier came, no package was left, but when I checked the tracking, it said it was delivered. I filed a claim or something on the website, and they sent someone out who checked with the neighbors. Then I got an email from Dan, basically telling me that the package was probably stolen, and there was nothing they could do, even though the carrier could not say 100% that he put it in the mailbox. He suggested that I contact the police.......are you frickin kidding me? It was four boxes of tea! I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have gone out of my way not to use the Berea post office since then.
My brother is a carrier on the east side. He said that Amazon will replace lost packages, and the carriers know this, so if it says Amazon on the box, they don't bust their butts making sure that it gets delivered. I hope the carrier enjoyed my tea......
