I feel sorry for anyone who lives in this post office's district. I was in the area running errands and stopped by to mail a package. The customer service was terrible. The clerk's negative attitude was unwarranted. It was like pulling teeth to buy stamps and pay for them. Questions are discouraged. The lady I interacted with clearly hates life. I hoped it was a one-off experience, but the consistent series of negative reviews on here are quite telling.

I recently moved to OKC. I changed my address for six (6) months, not knowing if I will stay and I still have property back home. I kept getting other people's mail in my box. I would return the mail to this post office. I disinfected my mailbox and taped my name on a card inside the mailbox as I was instructed to do. Someone removed my name and I continued receiving mail from at least three other people. Once again, I taped my name with a short message, "One Person". That too was removed! When I came to inquire the name of the postmaster for this area, the person in the first window was very rude to me. She told me I could not have that person's name. She also disappeared with my drivers license for a long time which made me very nervous. She claimed that she had to check and see if my address change was in affect. I tried explaining to her, that it was because I have received mail here several times. I wondered what she was doing with my PERSONAL PROPERTY? ID theft? I wondered why she couldn't just look me up in the computer or go get her supervisor and not take my personal property in the back where in my opinion, she could be printing a photocopy of it! She also yelled at me from over the counter in front of other customers, that I had to wait my turn. I said, "I am waiting my turn, however; I would like him to acknowledge that I am next." I also told her she didn't need to speak to me anymore because of her rudeness and unprofessional behavior. The supervisor Joe assisted and promised that my name would be replaced in my mailbox tomorrow. (Thursday December 10th.) It wasn't. Today is Monday December 14th and the challenge still exists. I have decided to go elsewhere. I will pay for private services if I have to.

Re the Village postal "service" LOL!!!!: Every time the regular mail carrier is not on duty, the substitute personnel is so absolutely appallingly bad, it's beyond description!!! They leave multiple addresses in my mailbox, EXCEPT FOR MINE!!!, to the extent that I believe that they must be functionally illiterate to do such an appallingly bad job!!! God only knows where my actual mail is - somewhere besides my OWN MAILBOX tragically!!!! DO YOU EVEN CARE-I THINK NOT!!!!! Government at its best. LOL!!!!!

Went to the post office today and the two ladies that was in the front working said something go the young lady who was trying to find out where a certified letter was from both women at the front said “ your apartment” you late on your rent . The young lady said no then both workers went to the back to go get the young ladies certified letter . Leaving the front counter unoccupied. It was very unprofessional

Customer service is unprofessional and terrible to say the least. This is one or rather my last encounter w/ the Village P.O . I no longer live in the state but when visiting my Grandson it's the closest. When I arrived at the Post office there was no one in line. There were three staff members , two of whom were in the same cubicle and the other postal worker was at the station (adjucent to the line) all three were involved in a conversation about a fellow employee) as I tried to make eye contact in an attempt to get service but to no avail,u so politely I spoke up and ask "May I approach the counter" to which said employee rolled her eyes and used hand motions signaling to proceed. I tried to kill her w/ kindness but she wasn't having it. Unbelievably ludicrous , with all the qualified people out there, that the P O would settle for below average service.

I heard my lawn service company pull up and opened my front door to go talk to the guy, When opening my door I found my mail thrown on my porch and the door closed on my letter box. I only recieved 5 letters. I have lived at this address for 28 years and have never had a problem with delivery until this new person who oviously has a attitude problem or mental issues. I have called in twice on him since he has been on this route, for not picking my mail up to putting it on a park bench on the porch, now on the ground. I have called and talked with the Station manager who told me they are not required to check for outgoing mail. Seems she has an attitude also.

Been on vacation and had mail held. Should have been delivered on the 21st. but now on the 23rd, still no mail in sight. PO will not answer phone after 25 min of ringing. Wish I had read the comments in the beginning.

They never answer their phone and they do not do a very good job.. It goes to show you they get paid way to much for a government job. Maybe if they lost their wages they might work harder.

The village post office sucks horribly. I have tried for months to get info on various packages locations, estimated delivery time etc. They never answer their phones (not even once in the several months I have tried to contact them.) and their voicemail is ALWAYS full so you can't leave a message. They have lost more than $4,000 worth of packages that I need for my business and I have made numerous complaints to USPS. Even they can't get ahold of these incompetent idiots. I am at my wits end with these people. A dumb cucumber could do a better job than the Village Post Office does. I hate that you can't even request a different office to deliver your mail when these people have lost as many packages and have cost me as much money as they have. At the very least, they need to be shut down!

I ordered some checks from my bank and they never arrived. I checked with the bank and with the company that makes the checks for the bank and they assured my the checks had been mailed. We had just moved to a new address. I complained to the US Inspector General and they contacted the Village Post office. I got a call from the local postmaster saying they had the checks there at the post office. Turns out that the idiot they had delivering for them had quit checking the our mailbox for the notice that the apartment was now occupied and kept bringing the checks back to the post office. Lazy person. I am now waiting for a check for lots of money and have been waiting a week. Don't know if the check is still being processed and just mailed yesterday or something but after reading other reviews of the Village Post Office, I'm very anxious. I think if someone sued the crap out of them and cost some people their jobs there, they might be more diligent. I may sue them myself.

This post office is horrible. I keep getting mail for other people and even when I CLEARLY write the correct address it still comes back to me. You'd think after the media has already done a story about them they might try to do their job! Don't go there either - you're lucky if you can get out in 30 minutes.

And don't bother calling the 800-USPS number; I did, and was on hold over 30 minutes before I hung up. I then called The Village PO and the number just goes to a mailbox that claims to be full. No wonder USPS doesn't get any respect.

Yep. I am a business owner who ships thousands of packages a month using only USPS. The Village post office NEVER answers their phone. I called USPS and filed a complaint and was informed you must go in person to this particular post office with inquiries. Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me, but helpful info for anyone else out there trying to get in touch with them.
