I am continuing to have delivery issues with our local carrier. I manage a small apartment complex and mail continues to be misdelivered. I have even recently given our mail carrier a list of all of our apartments and the last names of the residents who live here, at their request. I let our carrier know when an apartment becomes vacant so they know not to deliver there until further notice. Just this last week I have had mail delivered to a vacant apartment and other mail with obvious apartment numbers on it, misdelivered to my apartment. Also, it concerns me to see our postal carriers walking around wearing personal earphones like they can do their job and listen to music at the same time. They obviously cannot. I'd like to see them fully paying attention and competently doing their jobs without the personal music distracting them from what they are getting paid good money to do. My confidence in the service is being undermined by lackadaisical attitudes and general incompetence. Talking the the carriers seems to do no good. They either make excuses or promise to do better and then don't. This is a service industry that could do better.

I live in a small apartment complex in the same area, and mail is often misdelivered and is also often delivered late. Despite the fact that it is a felony to open, withhold, or dispose of other people's mail, this is exactly what continues to happen in my apartment complex. My neighbor has decided to keep my mail on multiple occasions, and should be prosecuted for doing so. However, when the misdeliveries and thefts are reported, no action is taken. When USPS is notified that time-sensitive mail is being delivered days late, the USPS workers taking the reports are rude, even stating, "There is no guarantee with mail!" and of course, no action is taken. Delivering the mail doesn't seem to be an intellectually challenging job. I understand the hours are long, but it seems that taxpaying citizens are being penalized because USPS made a back door deal with amazon.com! This behavior hurts people, encourages identity theft, and is completely unacceptable!
