Horrible customer service at the boot road office. Needed to send a sensitive document overnight. Waited in line to be told to get the envelope/label from from the self serve area. Thought I did it right but when back at the window I did that wrong, was corrected by the teller who showed me the sample again saying to look for word “express”. At this point I was getting frustrated told him I was used to going to the counter and completing the process there. Did it correctly second time again Mark was defensive and continued to explain why I needed to do it myself, remarking I was getting mad but I wasn’t understanding him. Ok I’ll take 25% here….not the best circumstances of why I needed to overnight and I really need to trust this will get there overnight….last time I sent a package was about 2 years ago I guess things have changed but this guy was to me annoyed and intolerant the moment I got to the window. Hopefully the effectiveness of the USPS overnight service is disproportionate to the level of customer service if it’s employees.
Went this morning to mail a package the gal(girl with fake eyelashes)that was waiting on people was beyond rude. When I asked for a pen to completed address she gave me one and with no one in line behind me she proceeded to tell me to turn around and not face her while I filled out the address. She was rude to the lady two in front of me and snarky and rude to me. I get it’s a sucky job but do better with customer service training!
Why did I come in the lobby to buy stamps on 1/27/21 at 4pm and the 7th and last person in line told me the teller told him no one would be helped in line after him? Your hours are until 6pm, why are you apparently closing at 415pm. F u downingtown post office!
The Thorndale (19372) Post Office is overseen by the Downingtown Postmaster (I believe). Last week, ALL post offices and government buildings were directed to fly the American flags at half-mast for a week in honor of the victims of the Las Vegas massacre.
I dive by the Thorndale Post Office (located at 20 North Bailey Road) every day, and they did NOT lower their flag one single day last week. When I respectfully called to ask why, the response was "Oh, were we supposed to do that all week?" They hadn't done it at ALL!
I hope they will be directed to lower their flag THIS week for the required period of mourning and respect that was not shown LAST week!
