For the second time my carrier has failed to stop at my mailbox even though the flag was up and I had an outgoing package. I have an online business and had guaranteed my buyer that the item would go out today. The last time the carrier skipped my box with a package in it (a couple of months ago). I caught up with her a couple of streets over and asked if there was some reason that she didn’t pick up my package and her response was that it wasn’t her. She IS my carrier so yes it was her! The US Postal Service needs to get their act together. So many issues and complaints from from so many people. Just another example of a poorly run government entity!

I am writing a review for the James Island, SC location. The young lady working at around noon on 8/17/21 was EXTREMELY rude to me. For no reason. I thought maybe she was having a bad day but every single time I go in there she is SO RUDE. It makes me dread going there and I usually go out of my way to go to a different location because of her smug attitude ruining my day. She is super rude, and for what? To prove a point? Like I wouldn’t rather be somewhere else than at the post office mailing a package? She should be fired. Ive had better service at McDonalds.

EVERY single time I come to this post office I deal with the most rude workers! Today was just even worse. This is UNACCEPTABLE! Employees here, especially “government” workers should not be allowed to be so unprofessional and rude when speaking to customers! It is like they immediately get defensive and rude and start making a scene like they are in high school. Another woman next to me was having the same issue and wouldn’t leave until she spoke with someone but the man was telling her there was no one for her to speak to. This place should be seriously ASHAMED of who they have working for them! It’s Pathetic they are even getting paid to disrespect and treat people so wrong!

Just had the best experience with this PO. I went in with 6 pkgs to mail expecting it to take a looong time. I was 18th in line. The line moved so fast because I was assisted by helpful and very kind postal employees. This isn’t my assigned PO but I will go out of my way to bring my business here.

I have never had a package left on the ground beside the mail box until today. Heavens knows who could have come along and picked it up, I was in shock to see it laying on the ground. They usually bring it to the door and at least knock to make sure I got it. That is all I ask, Please Please ask your carriers to do a better job. Blow the horn if nothing else and I will come get the package. Shirley Slate 1060 Pauline Ave, Charleston S,C. 29412

I just moved to this area and have been using this post office. Not impressed so far. They never have any boxes stocked in the racks in the lobby, the parcel depository is out of order again, and what is up with the outside appearance of this place?? The bushes are so overgrown out front it looks abandoned. Absolutely no maintenance or pride taken to the appearance of this building. Terrible impression to customers. You would think a government building would be taken care of. I really miss my old post office across town!! :(

I have had several pleasant experiences with this Post Office. I left keys on counter inside near p.o. boxes. I called and the clerk went out of her way to be helpful. Another time, I did not pick Up my mail for several days. I live in a condo, the carrier came to my door to make sure I was okay. He knows that I am a widow. So very nice.

I have never in my life, had a manager be so mean to me as a customer about my mailbox. Too far from the road, trash can to the wrong side and blocking easy access for the carrier. I get all that fixed and make sure my garbage can is on the other side of my driveway, got the box moved closer to the road (where don’t mind me but I’m now unsafe trying to retrieve my mail) ... only to have somebody hit my mailbox and I get it fixed within a day same set up but had to buy a smaller cheaper box and all the sudden I am getting couldn’t access delivery location messages on items being shipped to me that are time sensitive. I’ve been told they would provide photos of why they couldn’t access delivery locations in the future but haven’t gotten the picture yet. I wouldn’t be as livid as I am, had they been nice about it and 2 not hold my mail hostage after they know I made the updates they requested but now no one will call me back and say why!?! I can’t win with this post office, and by office I mean the manager and the woman who drives my route... the people in the actual office have been kind. The manager was distasteful and threatening versus trying to be helpful for all parties to be safe and happy. I wasn’t in the right when I had my trashcan right next to my mailbox, but i fixed it and spent 200 dollars doing the other updates in the 20+ page requirements that were highlighted for me... I give up. :(

I tried to call postal service. Spend 62 minutes, finally got Columbia SC number and transferred me. Could not answer question or give me help. Better not hold my breath or Will be dead before I get an answer.

At least once a week, for the past six weeks, when my regular carrier Don is off (he can't work 6 days a week), my outgoing mail is NOT picked up from my box. I have outgoing mail at least twice a week (usually more like 4) on different days, and apparently the substitute carrier won't service my box when I am not receiving mail. The most recent episode was this past Saturday, May 27. My 3 pieces of outgoing mail have been in the box since Friday night, suffering hours of unrelenting rain, and now will not get into the mail stream until at least Tuesday night. I realize Camp Road is busy, and 1836 has a bunch of confusing apartments, but I am a single family residence (Unit I-J), and skipping a cluster of three patrons' boxes just because there's no incoming mail and ignoring the raised red flag is driving me crazy. PLEASE find a cure to this!!!!! PS: I think it is insulting that I am unable to pick up the phone and call the manager of the 29412 station directly. PPS: Don is a jewel, and never misses being extremely friendly and helpful, sometimes when I don't even know it. I am old and ill, and he checks on me often.

Poor attention to request of change of address for several months. Important mail is being returned to sender as "temporary absence" or being delivered to Charleston address. We are traveling and would like reliable postal service. Please address this carelessness immediately. It is also very irritating that a person cannot talk directly to the postmaster of that unit to correct this serious lapse in efficiency.
