The postmaster (Constance Ratcliff) at the Mason, Tn post office is rude and very unprofessional. My daughter and I complained that the driver drove in our grass and caused damage. Constance was adamant that the USPS driver did not do it because they have been trained well. I mentioned to her that it could have been a mistake since anyone can make a mistake. I let her know we are not expecting any compensation, we just want to bring it to her attention so it won’t happen again. She insisted that it must have been another carrier because their driver would never make a mistake like that. She then said that since our long driveway is not paved, they will no longer deliver our packages to the door. Instead, we have to come to the post office to pick up our packages. The driveway she’s referring to has absolutely nothing to do with where they drove in the grass (that part of the driveway is concrete). This is definitely retaliation against us for complaining. We have been in our home for almost 6 months and the driver has never complained about delivering packages to our door because of our driveway. Now, all of a sudden because we complained, Constance says they will no longer deliver packages to our door because of the gravel driveway. That is definitely retaliation.
I would like to see something done about the way Constance treats the customers of the Mason post office. I’m sure she has done this to others because of how demeaning and condescending she was to both me and my daughter. All I expected from her was good customer service and for her to say IF the USPS driver caused the damage, to apologize and speak to the driver. Instead, she was very argumentative, defensive and dismissive towards me. She also taunted me by saying her employee heard our conversation and will back her up. Of course the employee will back her up because she’s afraid of losing her job if she doesn’t back her up.
We have filed a complaint against her. I ask that everyone she has treated this way to please file a complaint against her with the Post Office Consumer Affairs and also write a review on this page. This has to stop. She should not be allowed to get away with treating customers this way. The customers of the Mason, Tn post office deserve better.
Meds delivered to wrong address and left next to trash cans. I've had the worst postal service in the last year than ever before.
I have to request everything delivered by FedEx or UPS to get packages in a timely manner and intact.
