I love this station. Sometimes a crazy line, but I respect the heck out of the ONE MAN WHO WORKS THERE, and handles it ALL BY HIMSELF, EVERYDAY! He is always nice to me, and have always been able to count on him to get my stuff done correctly! Thanks man, I really do appreciate you, and everything you do at the East Austin Station.
Have been waiting since Dec. 2020 for my TX issued ID. Has been returned to DMV and I don't know why unless it was delivered to another house. Have had that issue on the street for a long time. DMV remailed it on the 15th of Jan. Still a no show
That really has nothing,at all, to do with this post office location...

I am calling them right now at 10:30 AM and the phone is just ringing off the hook. It's been ringing for about 5 minutes and no one is answering. Also, they deliver my mail to the wrong address. Sometimes I get other people's mail. I was home all day when they tried to deliver a certified letter. They did not knock, just left the notice that they came. I expect better service from the USPS. Step up your game East Austin. I can say that as a native Austinite.
That would be due to the fact that this is an incredibly busy location, and literally ONLY ONE PERSON WORKS THERE. He does a great job, and cannot stop helping customers who actually bothered to come into the post office in order to listen to you rant about issues with your carrier which legitimately have nothing AT ALL to do with him or the East Austin Station. You are going to want to direct your ranting towards either SOUTHEAST STATION or the DISTRIBUTION CENTER. Stop ringing East Austin Station. The station barely exists anymore with coffee shops and what have you built in 3/4 of what used to be the post office. They have ZERO to do with the carriers or your mail.
