PSC 3 General Delivery is awful. Just last week I got a bunch of Christmas cards. In March. They were mailed 22 December and date stamped they arrived in first week of January. It sat for 3 months. I have multiple package stuck somewhere in their back room. Lines outside the door and at 7 PM when they close, it doesn't matter if you are in line. They close. I think they are contract employees and not postal folks. But someone need show this thread to JBSA leadership. It has been awful for 5 months. Even if I buy a PO Box I need keep checking for a year to make sure stuff doesn't finally get to the point of "ready to be given to me" status. I agree our young men and women deserve far better than what they are currently getting.
We have sent both Sandboxx n reg letters n card and our soldier limonta Elizabeth has only gotten 2 or 3 of all we have sent 1 or 2 weekly. Other family members also have sent letters n I don’t believe she got those either. Can you please let us know how she can get these she graduates 25 March. N move on to tech m not sure if her mail will follow. Thank you for your time.
This is the absolute worst post office I have ever sent packages to. This post office refuses to answer listed phone numbers. The employees are very rude to the Airmen who are in tech school, who have not seen their families in months. These Airmen deserve to be treated with respect and deserve to receive their packages when they arrive. Today is the 24th of November 2020, the package has been sitting at the post office for days! Tracking showed it arrived at the JBSA Post Office on the 21 of November 2020. There is absolutely no way to contact this post office. This is a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Amanda, I’m having the same issue. I sent my SO packages on November 23, 2020 and it says arrived on Friday the 27th. He’s gone several times to the postal office but the ladies there say there aren’t any packages even though it says delivered. I thought I was the only one having problems. Did your airman finally get their package ?

This is rediculous!!! I sent my son, who is in tech school, a package it has been sitting at the main post office since last Monday. Not delivered to him! I spoke with the post office here and the answer I received was sorry, nothing I can do. They wouldn't call the receiving post office or even give me the number so I could call. There is no wonder the USPS is hemeraging money, because they are completely incompetant and don't give two craps abiut their customers. Time to switch to UPS or FED EX!
UPS is no better. I sent my sons package through UPS on April 13th, the tracking said it was delivered on the 16th of April...it is the 28th of April and no-one can locate it and it has some really important paperwork in there. I'm furious, frustrated. It's enough to make someone go crazy. His allergy medicine is in there that he really needs...they just dont care parents spent their hard earned money to make their service member feel like home, and he cant even get his items.

I’m not surprised to read some of the reviews below that are unfavorable. My son just graduated from BMT at Lackland. I ordered a special Air Force card and sent it to him through the USPS mail along with some thank you‘s from Citizens thanking him for his service. My son said because of graduation week he did not receive it and most likely it would be returned to me. It was suggested that I call the Post Office directly which I have tried to do several times to no avail. I’m very surprised that a United States post office that is on Air Force property is getting such bad reviews.
I am livid as well!! Tracking number is stating that my daughter's package, containing lots of items she needed for tech school, arrived 6/22. She went NUMEROUS times to try to pick up, each time being told it wasn't there. Now the tracking is saying it was processed for return on 7/10. Guess what? Nobody knows anything about it and I keep getting different phone numbers for different locations all blaming and/or referring to someone else.
Unacceptable. Other packages/letters made it to her but not this one and nobody can give me an answer as to where it might be.
THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. THE PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED TO THE DOCK. RECEIVED BY PAULA. BUT IT WAS NEVER PLACED ON MY NIECE'S BED FOR HER. SO WHO KNOW WHERE THE BOX IS. IT WAS DELIVERED BY UPS AND I HEAR THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO SEND BOXES. THIS WAS IN JUNE 2019 AND NOW IT'S SEPTEMBER.

Do not send anything to Lackland AFB. A package to my niece at tech school was never delivered. I called every post office on base and those who did answer the phone just blamed it on another post office and told me to call them. I got the run-around for half the morning and still no one can find the package. USPS says once it is handed to the "military mail" at Lackland they can no longer track it. The main Lackland branch says it was delivered to PSC, PSC says they never received it. WOW! What a mess.
Unless it is very important, wait until your recipient is in phase 3 of tech school when they can leave base and send it through UPS.
My daughter starts tech school on Monday. I had to send her her electronics spent an arm and a leg to get it there by Sat morning. I received notification it arrived at the unit at 8:3am. The hours of operations are 9:30 to 12:30pm. She arrived at 11:00 and no one was there. It said ring bell for service but no one was there. This is shameful! Not sure how she’ll pick up her stuff if she’s in tech school 7am to 4:30pm if they close at 4:30pm.
I have attempted to call this facility about a package that sat there for a week before my son was transferred (he was never notified that it had arrived). The voice mail is full and I was unable to leave a message. The phone was not answered even though it was within business hours. The online reviews of this facility are terrible, and this appears to be normal operations. Our service members deserve better.
This post office isnt worth a crap being calling all morning to get something taken care of for my stepson that is in airforce there at lackland and has been there for almost 2 years . I have sent him to packages that he hasnt got yet and that was a month ago and the tracking said it got to post office 2 days after I sent it .. So what the HELL is going on at this post office . You would think the people that work here would be much better but their rude and dont want to answer phone or do mail right . This office sucks lackland post office on base 2261 huges ave jbsa lackland , TX . What can be done about this problem !!!!
HERE IS NUMBER TO COMPLAIN TO ABOUT THIS POST OFFICE .
210 671 2148 ... DONT CALL UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE CAUSE THEY CANT HELP BECAUSE THIS POST OFFICE IS CONTRACTED THROUGH GOVERNMENT!!!

I had this same problem. Sent my niece a package that the USPS said they delivered yet my niece never got it. I called every post office on base and they all gave me the run-a-round, blaming it on the other post offices. And as for Mr. Wilson, he never even called me back. I am so disgusted with the entire postal system at Lackland AFB. They are incompetent morons and should not hold government jobs. And with the price you pay for shipping these days you'd think there would be some service to match, but not at Lackland. I can't believe the airforce lets this kind of service continue. They ask so much from their airmen yet their postal service is a bunch of smucks who can't do their job. Like I said in my earlier post. Don't send anything to Lackland AFB if you can help it and if you do don't be surprised when your recipient doesn't get it.

Very disappointed in JBSA USPS. Son entering Tech School. Sent packages containing his electronics and wallet, they have been there since Tuesday, but post office has note on door all week “closed security breach.” No telephone number to call and speak to anyone. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. Kind of short sighted to have operating hours when Airmen are in class passed closing time. Maybe consider a evening shift when new tech courses begin because recruits can bring electronics to BMT.
