Ok, I get it. COVID hit organizations like the USPS hard, and there is an ongoing labor shortage. Still, it is hard to accept that customers need to deal with patently rude clerks like the one I just encountered at this location.
I was trying to send certified mail with return receipt. As I waited in line, I observed how rudely the sole clerk treated the lady in front of me, who was trying to submit a change of address form. When it was my turn, she was the same: curt, disrespectful, and condescending. Clearly holds her customers in very low regard.
Again, I know the USPS has staffing issues, but I hope there is an opportunity to get this person into a different position that isn't customer-facing. These kinds of people give the USPS an undeserved bad reputation.
I want to bring to your attention some strange happenings at the Arlington 22207 Post Office.
1. We are just being delivered mail that was sent to us up to two years ago. How can this happen?
2. Mail placed in the outside post office boxes is being stolen. We have sent mail that has never been delivered.
Please USPS Management look into this.
I AM SICK OF CARRIER PUTTING OTHER PEOPLE'S MAIL IN MY BOX WHEN MY NAME HAS BEEN THERE SINCE 2017. MY IMPORTANT MAIL HAS BEEN PUT IN OTHER BOXES AND VICE VERSA! ONE GUY SEEMS TO STAY ON CELL PHONE WHILE SORTING MAIL, BUT HE BLAMES IT ON SUBSTITUTES WHO I HAVE NEVER SEEN!!! THIS IS WHY IT IS EASY FOR CROOKS TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY! ONCE TOLD OPM NOT TO SEND ME ANY MAIL AND THE SUCKERS DID IT ANY WAY. IT WAS SOMETHING I PRINTED OFF FROM THE SITE. I HAD TO WAIT A WEEK FOR AN HONEST NEIGHBOR TO PUT MY MAIL UNDER MY DOOR AT 8 PM AT NIGHT!!!
4500 N. 37th Place, Arlington, VA
Because I told my carrier that he did not have permission to walk across my lawn and plantings, my mail is left in walkway 25 feet from house and not in mail slot.
Remove carrier from route.
Your last two mail deliveries to my home concern me. Once my mail was put under the windshield wiper of a car parked out front of our house, then yesterday my mail was plopped in the middle of the walkway leading to our house. Up to now our mail has always been inserted in the mail slot of our door. We do not have a dog or other scary animal.
We have not received mail service in our neighborhood off of Sycamore and 27th St. N. since last Thursday. When will mail resume? Our sidewalk has been clear since Sunday.
