Jolliff Postal terminal is the absolute WORST post office in the Chesapeake City. Only way to EXPLAIN the amount of MISSING MAIL and DELIVERIES LOST and Unexplained is SOMEONE is STEALING in that Facility. Packages don't get scanned there for packages can not be accounted for or tracked , incorrect scans made and never corrected, THE MANAGER NEVER has an Answer to where things are but has an excuse for everything's and dances all around trying not to have to answer questions and is utterly RUIED when called out and questioned. I do not trust the Facility at this point to process any of my mail.

Hands down the worst postal delivery. Constantly delivering mail to wrong addresses. Mailman drives up and down the street totally confused like they never delivered mail before.

I am totally disappointed with the mail service in this area. I have had several packages out for delivery and haven't been delivered. This has been an ongoing problem and needs to be addressed.

Its everywhere. I have been on the phone with Deep creek PO almost daily. I have had priority packages sent with tax information to my office since Feb 8 and havent received a single one. My clients are angry and scared they are lost forever. So am I. I have gotten mail 2 times since feb 4 and one time was because a concerned ( only one) postmaster at Joliff road personally delivered a huge handful to me. The carrier said she didnt have time to deliver to me since I was last on the route. We are an office bldg and need our mail to function!! Or at least hit us first once a week !! So I thought it would get better but havent got any mail since he brought it to me last friday! Im not getting bills or checks or tax info or anything. How are we supposed to function . What is going on for real?

My business at 3211 American Legion Rd Chesapeake Va 23321.
We are only receiving mail maybe 1 time a week if that there were 2 weeks that went by with no mail at all. As a business we rely on the mail service, since you changed our carrier it has gone down hill in a bad way and is affecting our business.
Please help in us receiving our mail.

This service at this post office has gotten horrible. Today, I tried to call the US Post office number to find out what I can do and no matter what number I pushed, it always sent me back to the welcome message. None of the prompts were working; then I called the local office, and that is the fax number, though it does list it as both the phone and fax number. It's my understanding they have boxes of magazines that are not being delievered and that one postal worker was seen taking a box of them to the trash. It is also known that one of the postal workers can't drive b/c of a accident with a foot. She can certainly put mail away. Then they sent another worker home b/c they weren't trained. What is going on here? I pay over $200 for a magazine subscription that I no longer get and no one can tell me why. Were my magazines in the box that was thrown out? This is totally unacceptable. Time for new management there. (Jolliff Post Office, Chesapeake, VA, Manager is Mr. Mott)

Why bother, they are as bad as the DMV.
I had or was supposed to have a package delivered to the post office with an EXPRESS hold put on the package. A package gifted to me by my father, and it was important to me in that I am afraid with his recent strokes and age he might not be around much longer. I asked him to tell the other person at the other end of the chain to put a hold on it, due to the prevalence of porch pirates this time of year. He was worried about what to do. So he put the hold on the package. The other person at the start of the chain recorded this request. I would go and pick it up. Now magically the package is gone. The lady at my post office told me that it was delivered. She seemed to be confused that is was not a business but a home. Seems the carrier " must have scanned it wrong". They had ONE job to do. Get the package to the office and HOLD it. ONE job, and they botched it. Her response to my irritation was that " Well I see it was insured". I told her that it was not the point. Insured great, but what if what was inside could not be purchased again? What if it was one of those kind of packages. And even if it was not some family heirloom or keepsake, the POINT is that my Dad, "did I mention that he is not doing as well as I would like?" mailed it to me. ONE JOB and they " must have scanned it wrong" " Oh this is not a business?" " Welll it is insured". I told her that I did not think she really cared one way or the other. Her response went like this. " Sir.... If I did not care I would not have walked to the back to look". Nah lady. You simply were doing your job, and none to well by the way.
One job folks. One job. From now on I will just use Fed Ex instead. I have not experienced packages that were " scanned wrong" by them. Not yet.
