I live on the Stratford Hall route out of Montross P.O. Recently since the retirement of our old post woman, our new ones have not been doing very good job. Example our mail didn't get delivered until 9 pm or later Jan. 22nd...our mail half the time doesn't get here in a timely fashion..example I've been expecting a letter since the 15th of this month it was mailed from an address about 40 minutes away in Haynesville but people out of state have already received there letters..There is more than 1 carrier on this route and they all sit on the side on the road or drive and talk on their phones all throughout their route no to mention my mail smells like cigarette smoke which I have allergies too... Montross post office needs to get evaluated by a head person please. There is some type of neglect on the staffs part to let it get this far...thank you
I live on the same route and my service has gotten horrible. some weeks I can go up to 4-5 days in a rows without any mail delivery at all. Others what used to take 4 days for something to reach me now takes 8-14 days!!! This house is getting out of hand. I've complained to every one at the Montross Po every time I get an exuse of some kind. But this has been going on for over 6 months now. Time for some one to take charge down there. And not the people going around calling them selves post master general when in fact they are Not.... If any one has same issues please respond.
